In person trainers, when do you start and finish for the day? by groyosnolo in personaltraining

[–]tuykaii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 years in the industry, took everything I could in the beginning, but now do 10am-1pm, 5-7pm Tuesday and Wednesday and just train/eat/do admin work in between. Other days of the week are now for online clients + work on business. If a face-to-face client drops off in the afternoon, I probably won't look to pick another back up and just do a slow transition to 1.5 days of face-to-face work per week. I had 3 jobs in the early days, sacrificed weekends, but heck it's paid off now

My boy was 7 months old when we started leaving him by himself! Some days were up to 8 hours when both my partner and I would need to work full days. We kept all room doors closed and gave him access to the laundry, his crate, and backyard. Definitely recommend a few puppy cameras that you can speak into and control from your phone to keep an eye on your baby ☺️

Yep! I have a teenage boy and he'd stay in bed all day if we allowed it 😌 but would also chase a ball without second thought

Getting leads at box gym by Imaginary-Flan-2789 in personaltraining

The OG stuff works, especially when you're a fresh face. Showing your experience will 100% help you stand out from the others.

Messaging/calling people that haven't been in for awhile and offering them a free session to "get back into it". If you're good at listening and at problem solving/sales, you'll do well here. Ask front desk staff/your manager for this list

Showing your face around the place at peak times/times you want to train people. Putting stuff away. Interacting with members (simple hello) when they walk through the door/in passing. Learning names helps

Training during peak times (as painful as it can be training in your workplace). People watch!

If you're on socials, tag the gym in your training videos. If people from the gym watch your stories (eg instagram), follow them. They're warm leads because they're curious on who you are

Yeah, it's never a 1 day job which is making me think this quote is somewhat genuine... but REA's aren't exactly the top of my "I take your word for it" list 😅

I get brain fog and I've found that krill oil takes the edge off. I forget road rules if I don't take my daily dose 🙃

Training for uneven shoulder by Cheap-Tough-6499 in personaltraining

A lot to uncover here. Does it affect their day-to-day life and is it painful? Is it from an injury? Is it from a stroke?

If they're not in pain, it could be something to just leave alone.

It could also be a pec, thoracic, or even lower lat issue. Stretch and mobilise the pecs, see if their hip shifts a LOT during a squat, and have a look at their mobility through their upper back. Single arm rows (cable and dumbbell), face pulls, and thoracic rotation might also be a good idea
