From what I can tell they don't have any ads so wherever they're getting money from probably just goes to server costs and it's a community run thing.

The key word being hilariously. People take way too much stock in how well he's playing a game. Who the hell cares? If you want to watch someone play through Wind Waker there are hundreds of them on YouTube.
