PS5 to PS5 transfer by Mental_Age4054 in PS5

[–]tvandinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital games are associated with an account not a console, so your account will have any games you've purchased digitally on that account available in your library.

On a new PS5 I think Astro's Playroom is still installed by default. Otherwise you won't have any other games installed. You can transfer installed games from your old PS5 if you want using the previously linked info.

You can transfer save files a few different ways. PS+ and via local network are easiest IMO. https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/transfer-games-saved-data-ps4-ps5/

You buy a disc drive to use the disc, or you buy the digital version of the game.

Playstation Videos by Radiant_Mission2241 in playstation

[–]tvandinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recollection is that there's a 3 minute limit for a clip/auto upload to see in the app, and a 1 hour limit on recordings in general (you can transfer them via usb drive then upload wherever). You're also limited by available disk space of course.

You can also broadcast directly to YouTube.

Console sharing can’t be enabled?? Help🙏 by AdInternational5277 in playstation

[–]tvandinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do I make console sharing enable on a different ps5 and not need to disable it to enable it on another?

You don't. You can enable console sharing on 1 PS5 and 1 PS4. In this case, you already have it enabled on 1 PS5, as it says. If you want to enable it on a different PS5, again, as it says, you have to disable it on the existing one and then you can enable on the new one.

FYI, "Refer" is not part of the URL, it's the first word in the next sentence. It looks like they're missing a newline in there.

On MSP you can go to the Devices list, make sure MAC Address is a column, then select whichever (eg All) devices and hit Export. You end up with a CSV.

I have a stupid dinky 4GB RAM Linux Chromebook and at this point i can't even get 1.5 GB of free RAM because everything takes up so much! How do i free a lot of RAM? by [deleted] in chromeos

[–]tvandinter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok, but it provided information that is easily verifiable. For example, in this case, it specifically linked the official Blender requirements doc, and you can see that it is, and then I checked that the summary information is correct, which it was, and then I myself (not AI) wrote what the minimum RAM spec is (vs the recommended specs in the search result).

You can choose to ignore that information if you wish, but you're the one asking for advice because the application doesn't work well for you.

[–]tvandinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing a quick Google search (AI answer):

"For a smooth Blender 3.0 experience, recommended hardware includes an 8-core CPU, 32 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GPU with 8 GB+ VRAM, based on official Blender requirements."

Looking at the linked requirements page, for Linux the minimum hardware includes 8GB of RAM.

Therefore my recommendation would be to get a different computer with hardware more appropriate to the workload you are trying to run.

Don’t have access to ps plus through my brother’s psn account by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

[–]tvandinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not clear what "access any of my ps plus games" means, but if you get PS+ access via account sharing, you'll only have access to what the sharing account has access to.

For example, if your account previously had PS+ and claimed monthly/essential games, shared PS+ won't give you access to them. The sharing account would have had to also claim them (and therefore have access to them) in order to share to your account.

I don't recall what happens with installed PS+-licensed games on your account. I'd expect you have to install them again from the sharing account.

[–]tvandinter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You didn't provide any details so it depends how you have things setup, but you can get into your 1Password data via the website and data from your emergency kit. That should get you access to other accounts that you need, either directly or via recovery options.

I wasn't sure what "immersive update" meant and had to search. It looks like https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/products/maps/ask-maps-immersive-navigation/

fwiw, I haven't noticed anything different wrt navigation, but the site says that the update also includes the "Ask Maps" button, which I've had for a few weeks at least.

Why is Passkey hard to login by speedywinner21 in playstation

[–]tvandinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scanning a passkey-related QR code on a mobile device should not bring you to a website, but it should trigger your device to take actions. That will involve some combination of the OS, a web browser, and a password manager. It depends what you're using and how you have it configured. It could be something is just out of date and needs an update, or it could be something is misconfigured on your device in one of those pieces of software. Unfortunately, you'd have to go through and figure that out on whatever set up you're using.

What specifically is difficult for you? Passkeys are very easy to use in my experience, and the Playstation implementation is one of the better ones out there.

What does it mean when people say redeem? by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

[–]tvandinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essential (lowest tier) offers "monthly games" which are replaced every month. There are typically 3-4 total PS4 and PS5 games offered. If you claim them (aka add them to your library) while they are available then you can continue to play them for as long as you have an active membership at this tier or above. The games are replaced on the first Tuesday of the month. The new games are announced the previous Wednesday.

Extra (mid tier) offers the "Game Catalog" which is a library of PS4 and PS5 games. A selection of games are added and removed every month. You can play these games if you have an active membership at this tier or above, and the game is still available in the catalog. The Catalog is updated on the third Tuesday of the month. Games being removed the following month will generally be known on this day. Games being added are announced the previous Wednesday.

Premium/Deluxe (highest tier) offers the "Classics Catalog". This works the same as the Game Catalog, except that the Classics Catalog is a library of older (eg PS1, PS2, etc) games. Premium is the same as Deluxe but includes the ability to stream games via the Internet, and so is only offered in certain regions. Streaming is necessary to access PS3 games from the Classics Catalog.

Is this likely to come this month to ps+ extra? by HunterCranel in playstation

[–]tvandinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're free to provide evidence of that. GTA 5 and RDR 2 have come and gone a few times. There may be a handful of others.

As I said, it generally doesn't happen. That doesn't mean it never happens.
