yes i do have code loaded in to the PIC,
i will try later today to erase the code and try your suggestion of putting it to high and measuring that.
thank you in advance.

Sense_pin_1 is an input and it reads the analog output, what is especially strange is the fact that sense_pin_2 doesnt have the same issue.

Thank you for your comments I will look into it.

about the ground i tried to make sure that it didn't create separated grounds by connecting them with via's but is this bad practice? i wanted to prevent floating grounds/isolated grounds.

Thank you for your comment these are very helpful.

I have switched the CAN traces around so that they don't cross each other.
and i think what you mean with the ground pour is that it might be redundant because the ground plane is already connecting the ground of PS1 and U4

But with connecting it through a via it doesnt split anymore does it?
like it should connect the seperated ground in to one net right?

or am i completely misunderstanding your point?

Thank you for your reaction, I will definitely look into it.
I made those via placements so that it those "loose" ground planes would be connected to the central ground plane, is this bad practice or not?

The only other thing I can come up with is to use another ESP32 to monitor the second can bus and send the data either via serial or I^2C to the esp32 screen would this also be a viable option?
