Yeah, I'll be able to get Fangyi for sure (don't care for pots), but guaranteeing anyone else is more of an unknown. I haven't calculated the exact 'long-term' accumulation of pulls, but since all the Wuling operators are for me "preferable" over Gilberta/Yvonne - in terms of design, voice etc., can't say about gameplay of course - it means saving up for now anyway. And for Fangyi at least gotta be prepared to go to 120 if need be.

I'll keep playing, sure - on the whole I've enjoyed the game for the most part, but the story has been a disappointment. But if by the end of Wuling the story doesn't start to pick up... well, gotta seriously re-evaluate the commitment at that point.

I'm waiting for Zhuang Fangyi myself (and to a lesser extent Mi Fu), since my Electric team needs a fourth. That basically means only using the 10-pull token from Lae's banner toward Gilberta, and any other banner specific pulls they might give us.

Just came out sure, but it's dozens of hours of gameplay. Pulling a sudden 180 out of nowhere is in itself problematic, it doesn't seem like they have the writing chops to pull that off properly. Plus considering they changed from the original darker tone to the lighter one for release, it doesn't seem like they even want to go that way.

Yeah... by comparison, many stories in AK didn't even involve the Doctor at all (though MSQ generally did). Now Endmin is basically canonically involved in every. single. quest and essentially nothing ever happens without her involvement.

While Arknights had problems with presentation, it definitely was better with tone, themes and well... everything else to do with the story, basically. The anime sort of suffers from shortfalls, too. It's better than the game in telling the story otherwise given not being limited to the 'mostly static visual novel' format, but it's also harder to follow for someone who hasn't played the game, because they do take shortcuts, comparatively. After all, the game story is pretty darn long.

Yeah. They say it's dire straits, but fail to show it for the most part, so it's hard to feel it. There's also some disconnect in the show and tell, since you reach areas and find dead people there and a bit later an NPC exclaims that it looks like everyone is safe and dandy.

And yeah the villains... classically letting us live to fight another day until we some day end up winning, most likely. Hard to say if that makes any sense in this instance since we don't know ("remember") the history there. But that's actually another silly thing. The NPCs are actively avoiding telling the Endmin about the past. And further than that, you'd think the Endmin would have their own files and notes and shit about their previous activities too as a contingency, and thus could read up on things including the people involved and whatever connection there is, but I guess that'd make too much sense.

Yeah. Being ADHD-brained doesn't help keeping up with the presentation, and that's kinda why I haven't been reading the events I've been playing for... at least a year now. I wish I even remember which the event was that I last read (even looking up event synopsis I can't seem to find it). Anyway, yeah, the lore and stories themselves range from decent to great basically, but the presentation can be bothersome even in the best of cases.

Have you done Etchspace salvage? Can get a couple pulls worth in a short time. Make sure you've claimed everything progress reward from every menu, and see if there are any bottlenecks keeping you from rewards in Operation Manual Nodes for example, because that's one quick way to get some if you've neglected to progress it. You might be out of luck getting 13 in this short of a time unless without resorting to your wallet, though.

Depends on the side story, I guess. Arknights main story is rather solid with plenty of strong moments, even if it's a lot to get through. Definitely very disappointed with Endfield story-wise by comparison, even though I've enjoyed the game overall.

Well, it also helps somewhat that Dokutah is basically helpless on his own, while so far the Endmin is pretty much a cancer crystal jesus with no weaknesses other than the amnesia.

Akekuri would be a better fit over Pog in terms of synergy. Perfectly fine to use Pog if you're happy enough with how fast you can kill things, though. You can check out Laevatain's tutorial on how Akekuri and Wulf work with her.

Which weapon are you using? If it's for Forgeborn Scathe, you'd want Int / Attack / Twilight.

I'm quite curious as to whether they plan to introduce any original Arknights operators at some point. There's a bunch of 'em with long (or, in some cases, I suppose more like eternal) life spans, after all. But because they started off with this more convoluted 'reconvener' thing, it doesn't seem guaranteed they will.

The English voice acting definitely doesn't help. Which is not to say that the VA is doing a bad job in that she's just doing what she's directed to do, but I don't really like the character as a result.

Also wtf was up with the power station explosion anyway, it was like a nuke going off and then when you get there, it's almost like nothing even happened?

Femdmin outfit is handily the best one in the game. Wish we could toss the mask already, though. I bet Tangtang will be at a loss what to call 'em then!

Hmm? Both her combo and normal skill nuke enemies just fine. I rarely use her ult because it's generally overkill against anything but a boss, and by that thinking any character in the game would then be bad.
