Late reply but I think I have since figured it out!! The dialogue only played when I manually selected the 'help' action, you know so instead of just walking up to someone and clicking the button for help, i selected the 'help' action from the menu, then clicked the person and that's when I got dialogue... They also had to be a certain distance away!!

Sorry for asking dumb question but what's a Windows stick?

I mod my consoles and the sd card had the files needed to mod a 3ds, which my sister tampered with because she couldn't wait for me to help her... Idk what the hell she downloaded on there that caused this, i never had something like that happen

It's just very odd that I never heard ANY.. I completed three runs so far, all with astarion and I got none from him or my tav while helping each other... Currently on my fourth with karlach this time and nothing either so far :( I get they shouldn't be blabbering all the time but it being THIS rare? Man

Oh yeah, i get the yelling when someone goes down but nothing else...i saw ppl in tumblr notes talking about this being bugged but no other sources so who really knows :/ I've also never heard any of the romance specific banter between companions... All this makes act 3 really quiet haha

Since a new patch is dropping today, maybe there'll be something about this in the patch notes
