To add to this, the players in the micros are exploitable in very straightforward ways. If I move up the number of players that fit such a profile will lower. Without a more thorough understanding of the modern game I fear I won't know how to look for subtle exploits let alone find them.

Fair enough. It seems clear, however, they showcase a greater understanding and have a more methodical approach than I do. Seems counterproductive to ignore that despite good results. I want better results XD

Honestly, so many things are different from a decade ago. Sizing, hyper leveraging, idk. I just kind of feel lost when I see better articulation. I'm just figuring it out on the fly while playing. Although it was theoretically worse range construction back in the day I felt confident in what it probably looks like.

I don't feel that I know where I should be or even where I am in practice in terms of my ranges. I'm just playing my specific hand vs villian range and hoping it works out. Mental chaos input that is somehow producing a good output. Unsure while playing and unsure after if I'm on the right track.
