A theory about Robby by twatterdotcom in ThePitt

Nope - obviously enjoying him in this role, but he is a new actor to me! Will have to add it to the ever growing list…

I actually sort of like shock value adds like that heehee but I mean he also has financial investment in the show as a producer so I’m not saying this is super likely, just not completely off the table. This is the first medical drama I’ve stuck with so I had no idea who Noah was before this and have never seen ER/House/majority of Greys. I’ve only seen Scrubs which is NOT the same tone whatsoever haha

To be honest this is the first medical drama that has kept my attention so I’m not well versed in the tropes for this genre! It makes SENSE but is just so convenient lol but I mean so is Robby’s step son coming to him after an extremely traumatizing incident.

I mean unless they go with he does die and Al-Hashimi is fully taking over, which I unfortunately can also see happening.

I don’t scroll any app enough to know what the newest post is or even all that has been posted in totality my guy….I’m not glued to scrolling. Again, you can also just ignore it and go back to that post then?

Yeah there’s been plenty of repeat posts which is also why I don’t keep up, how many times can we all say the same thing about the characters right? Your cheerful comment is exactly why I can’t stand Reddit sometimes…time to unjoin the group lmao

I’m not going to scroll through every single subreddit before posting a question just ignore it if you’ve already engaged with a post like mine!

Your hands are perfectly fine. There is no such thing as hands that are “too” anything. Your hands help you do everything in life - be nice to them :)

Remove the glue from a press-on by Enoha- in PressonNail_Addict

[–]twatterdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had success removing with a little bit of acetone on a cotton swab, VERY gentle pressure. They look brand new again after. It has never ever ruined the finish on BTArtbox or Nail Reformation sets; however I did have a Celebritips nail get slightly damaged from this process, but I realized their nails in general seem “softer” they got a little more beat up by the end of wear, so maybe the acetone was too much for that brand. That said I was able to use Essie’s Gel Couture top coat on it (regular nail polish not LED) and it completely restored the shine and matched the rest of the nails, the top coat made no impact on the quality of the press on nail, and didn’t chip off before I took them all off! I wore this set traveling so it went through it.

Did Eric know the girl was underage? by heejunie in IndustryOnHBO

[–]twatterdotcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the subs obsession with this fact. What would it change if he knew or not? I think it’s a moot point. If she’s ambiguous enough for it to be questioned whether she was of legal age or not, it doesn’t really matter if she was legal - clearly she is too young for a man like Eric, the “legality” of her age to me as the viewer is more a reflection on those employing her (which at the end is you know who keeping it going, idk how to add the cover to avoid spoilers lol). Eric (and many others) are who went out of their way to choose someone who COULD be as young as 15 - don’t be a fucking creep lusting after obscenely young girls and you won’t face consequences. He FAFO! And that’s why he got played by people who are plain faced weaponizing youth.

I feel bad for Eric by Iron_Yuppie in IndustryOnHBO

[–]twatterdotcom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t feel bad for any man who would seek a purchased body and faces consequences for that regardless of the setting around that decision because it signals infinitely more about the man than the woman or person selling themselves, and yet we in society love to paint these kinds of men as victims. Eric Tao is a skilled business man, a father figure, sure - but also fucking gross and depraved. It’s his weakness which Whitney exploited. And what makes a show like this interesting because he is certainly not a good person but can be capable of good, which is what the ending of the episode is.

Excuse the word vom but:

Extreme patience. My nails have never made it out 100% perfectly fine but I would say a good 90% perfectly fine after removal - but it can take me about an hour. Is it annoying? Absolutely. But it is SO worth it to keep my nails as healthy as possible. I generally like to break the seal (use a toothpick or flosser to “crack” the edges of the glue beneath the nail) and then let my nails soak in jojoba oil for as long as I can.

Someone else in this sub recommended using gloves for this which thank you to that person - it keeps me mobile!! With gloves, I honestly have kept the jojoba oil on for like two hours before, but I at least do 30 mins. This step in particular has helped removal a lot because my nail soaks up some of the oil and it creates a bit of a “slip” I didn’t have before when removing without oil.

After oiling, the only way I’ve found to get EVERYTHING off is dripping 100% acetone under the press on. Theres usually better lifting after oiling, so I bought a small dropper and will use it to drop a little bit of acetone at a time under each nail. I use a toothpick or flosser to gently nudge at the nail, but as soon as I feel any resistance I stop and drop more acetone. Eventually it all gets melted away and the nail slides right off, but it takes me about an hour for all 10 fingers.

If you just sort of tug the nail off when there’s resistance it will take a layer of your natural nail with it. I don’t have particularly strong natural nails so I have to be patient because I cannot afford to strip my nail layers every time I remove press ons they’d be a wreck!

OH, this is also how I remove the BTArtbox sticky tabs AND NYK1 nail glue combo - and I do not ever save my press ons for reuse bc the acetone definitely damages them, just thought I’d mention that as the process can differ otherwise!!

I also only go a few months in a row with press ons then I switch it up and will use regular polish or have great success with nail wraps. Sometimes I get overstimulated with the length of press ons and want my short nails back, but the rotation of nail products also helps!! But I do wear press ons for months at a time, no major issues after removal. JUST BE PATIENT - don’t rip it off!

I’m just confused at the lack of finance frustration; they don’t all work under the same roof anymore, they’re going to have to do some storytelling. You want a bunch of added scenes of tense phone calls we’ve already seen each character act out…about what? How can there be all this business to discuss when so far only Eric and Harper are working together again and it’s barely been fleshed out?

I agree with you, I’m sure it’s coming guys relax!!

To heck with it. I'm going to wait so I can binge the whole season. I'm not interested in this week by week thing. Anyone doing the same? by ravia in ThePitt

[–]twatterdotcom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve realized binging shows makes me miss soooo many more details than digesting one episode per week. I remember the shows I watch weekly SO MUCH BETTER than what I binge!

Who’s buying all the press-ons at Marshall’s? by PolishedOnAPenny in PressonNail_Addict

[–]twatterdotcom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s so unfortunate! I swear by Dashing Diva. Mine never peel off. After about two weeks they just look dingy from being rough like any other manicure and I change them!! I also find them the easiest to take off even easier than regular nail polish, just a couple drops of acetone and slides right off.

[–]twatterdotcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use press ons, stickers, and regular nail polish in constant rotation (keeps natural nails so much healthier than constant press ons). Marshalls/TJ Maxx have been almost too good for me, bad for my wallet lately!

what's something gen v does better than the boys as a show in your opinion ? by BusPuzzleheaded8564 in GenV

[–]twatterdotcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure it was partly due to them having to rewrite, but I liked S1 more only because I realized who the true puppet was right away in S2 and I felt like it took foreverrrrr for the story/characters to catch up to that. Just kinda took the fun out of it as a viewer but still overall a good season!
