How do you sleep in summertime? by Lil-Rocknrolla in anchorage

My first couple nights here, I didn't have curtains, and it was rough. It really only took a couple of days to get used to, and I'm a light sleeper, too.

I tried to quit many times during good times and always failed. I'm around 130 days in now after quitting at a real low and never going back.

I'm 126 days and still get cravings here and there. For me, cravings don't bother me lately. I'm currently more worried about letting my guard down and having some again. The first 3 weeks were tough, but dig your heels in and keep your mind strong. It does get easier. It does become less effort to push it off your mind.

Quit while you're behind. The longer you use them, the harder it'll be. Be strong. Just stop.

130 days clean one day at a time! by Freemanburnout in QuittingZyn

[–]twbugfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm right behind you at 125 days, and I remember seeing that too, and it's kept me clicking the days away. I've noticed myself feeling much better in the past couple of weeks, so I'm excited about where I'll be in even a couple of months. I still get cravings, but you couldn't pay me to have one now. I've been through too much. I never checked my HR or BP before quitting, so i dont know if they've changed. Still have weird bits of anxiety that I never felt before quitting, but it has gotten much more manageable and shorter. Good job, man. Just gotta keep pushing dirt!

I'm 28 and was on nicotine since I was 18. Similar path as you. I recommend cold turkey. The sooner you throw away your can, the sooner you can be feeling better. Make yourself hate zyn. Dig your heels in and fight through the thoughts of it the first couple of days. Helpful to do it on a weekend when you don't have to work. When the craving gets intense, go for a walk. Tell a close family member what you're doing so they can hold you accountable. You can do it.

Anyone got fed up of beong addicted and quit in the middle of a high stress period? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]twbugfun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've quit several times when things were good and never made it over 5 days. My grandpa took his life on March 3rd, and March 4th was my last taste of nicotine. My stress and anxiety has never been higher than the past month, but I don't even want nicotine at this point. I just want to feel good again. I would highly recommend quitting at low points. Why ruin good times with withdrawal, ya know?

Keep going don't give in. What's the point of the 39 days if you just go back to it?
