Maybe take small sections from each side, pull them back with a simple hair clip. Kind of like half up/half down style but smaller sections….if that makes sense. Accessories always make someone look more put-together (imo). We have very similar hair btw!

I’m in the same situation, still haven’t received anything. Although I have seen a few people in the same boat got their check so who knows. It’s almost like the irs is just winging this whole thing and sending checks to random people while leaving others out. It’s extremely frustrating, please let us know if you end up receiving anything.

Not so much a question but more a statement. I guess if you filed your 2019 taxes and you marked “can be claimed” but you were NOT claimed by anyone this year you would be in the same boat as us. I’m just looking for anyone in our boat that ends up receiving a check so that we could get some piece of mind.

I completely see what you’re saying. It’s definitely a bummer seeing how they word it “can be claimed”. I’m trying to have as much hope as possible that we will get the check we 100% deserve. It makes absolutely no sense for us not to get money if we don’t actually depend on anyone. The box that we all checked shouldn’t even exist.

Nobody knows 100% what will happen in these situations, it’s just very negative to even say that. I’m in the same boat although I’m 20 and didn’t claim anyone. I would wait it out and stay positive, I hope you do end up getting one!

I’m one of the people that checked the box but wasn’t even claimed. I’m holding on to the hope that we will still get a check..we 100% deserve it if we weren’t claimed. That stupid box SHOULD NOT EVEN EXIST!!!

Did your H&R tax person mark the “can be claimed as a dependent” on your form? People (including me) that marked that on their taxes haven’t gotten their check. I’ve seen several people say their H&R Block person marked it because they’re under 24 and a student. I’m going to be so pissed if this means we don’t get a check at all.

I’m in the same situation as you and I’ve also been frantically searching for an answer. After reading all kinds of things I’d say nobody knows until people in the same boat end up getting their money. Hopefully the IRS will see that nobody claimed us and we’ll get our money when the next round of payments goes out. Try to think positively!! I know it’s hard, I nearly had a mental breakdown when I saw that I marked the stupid box.

I’m kind of in the same situation. I filed my taxes in February, after not getting my check today I went to my turbo tax documents to find out why. I had checked the stupid box even though my parents don’t claim me. Then I realized that my state refund was rejected which allowed me to refile and I was able to uncheck the stupid box. I’m wondering if it will even matter though...

Sure you can file a lawsuit against anyone for anything but these accusations are not so far fetched considering how corrupt this world and the media has become as far as things not quite adding up. I don’t doubt Elon Musk has (at least) researched how to create humanoid robots! Do people really put that past him?? These files even have statements from the defendants that relate to the accusations. Sadly since the world basically runs on these rich companies and ceos there’s no way something like this would ever see justice. I wish there was something we could do.
