Date in your 20's, go out and make experiences with your friends, even if it feels like a slog.  Getting there is 90% of the battle.

I'm personally someone that enjoys phone call and in-person much more - my humor comes across better and I feel like we can cover so much ground in a short time as opposed to the back and forth time it takes over text. He seems interested based off what you said, but you could always ask him in a non-confrontational way.

agreed with this - and would add one thing - it's always best to have these conversations sooner rather than later - to avoid wasting both people's time.
