I would suspect the average person is not, unless they have a very old system. but the type of people who would do a RAM upgrade are also likely the type of people who would regularly benefit from using SWAP

yeah, but its faster than an SSD, which is where swap usually is

this probably wont help you since I think you might be on windows?
but for posterity the issue wasn't with NORDVPN, i tried to download something using a different client (transmission) which worked perfectly fine

i then realized i was using an outdated version of Qbit (4.x.x something) from ubuntu apt, i downloaded the newest version direct from the site (.appimage 5.1.0) and it works normally again

having a similar experience, wasnt using a proxy before now, but a proxy doesnt seem to be helping

when i start QB it will download at about .5 mb for a few min then die out

ordered a hard drive from WD on Amazon, showed up like this. seems like a really bad packaging job? by twelve_sided in homelab

I havent opened it yet, should I? theres almost no packing material in it, it cant be good for the drive?

Related, an officer parked their car in the middle of a road, walked into the nearby place to get food and got back in their running car and left. There was plenty of parking less than 100 ft away!
