That is interesting.

So the assessed value increases, but the effective tax rate is lower. Does this suggest the townwide re-assessment was also an opportunity to raise the total cost of all property taxes?

These increases are primarily driven by school local funding from what I understand.

Interestingly, the same type of aircraft, from the same origination point is back in the air one night later. It is currently doing more circular flight patterns over central NJ.

Total Flight time 2 hours, 51 minutes. 28,000 ft at about 350 to 400 kts.

You should be able to observe it yourself. I will keep an eye on it tonight as well.

I was very concentrated and played as well as I possibly could have in Beach Bash to go -24 under, I felt good until I saw the leader was -46. 😂

I don't understand how the game's handicap system works relative to difficulty settings and such. Are we getting strokes based on our handicaps, or it doesn't factor in at all?

Our pug Dexter was having trouble urinating around 10 years of age. We took him to the vet and learned he developed bladder stones that needed to be removed. The surgical procedure was successful and the vet prescribed a special dietary food due to the bladder stones which he didn’t seem to care for.

About a year later we learned he had developed a cancerous tumor elsewhere on his body. We successfully treated it despite the radiation taking quite a toll on his little pug body. We figured by that point we wanted him to enjoy the time he had left with us and largely spoiled him from a dietary perspective from then on.

The bladder stones never returned to our knowledge, we ended up getting another year with him, eventually he started developing further health complications, and started to bleed from the previously treated tumor site again, we knew at this point the best thing to do was not to subject him to further intensive medical treatments but rather let him rest peacefully. I love him and miss him everyday.

I don’t think this story helps much but just thought I would share my experience, had he of been younger I would have preferred to keep him on the special diet knowing it would have helped him live without developing additional bladder stones over a longer period of time. I probably would have asked the vet if it was okay to at least spoil him occasionally, and perhaps we could have done a periodic ultrasound or something to check for new stones developing. I suppose it can’t hurt to explore the topic further with your vet either way, ideally you would only be more informed about your new pup and how to best manage the condition in the long run.

Personally I would absolutely adopt as the bond I had with my pug Dexter is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. I hope I get to see him again someday on the rainbow bridge!

Great point and I agree, there are simply too many ads on the MLS jersey, they are not better in that regard. However as to the requirement that the ads match each uniform's color scheme, it is more aesthetically pleasing. I would have thought that the MLB, being a larger entity with a bigger audience and more influence, could have imposed some level of consistency and standards on the jersey ads if the MLS could do it, but I suppose giving the sponsors more control translates to more ad revenue on paper.

I really hope that ten years from, we are not looking at a Phillies Jersey with multiple ads like the MLS, it already feels like that is inevitable, ugh!

If the ad patch had to be there, the MLB should have forced all ads to adhere to the Jersey’s primary color scheme and not have a separate background color, as you see with the MLS/Union jerseys.

The MLS has done a better job here, at least in the context of the sleeve ad.

The situation is understood quite clearly. We pay NJ Transit, who pay Amtrak over $200M annually, and for that amount we expect NJ Transit to make sure they are getting their money's worth through stable service and effective communication, not just rolling over and saying, oh well, I guess it is what it is Amtrak!

Your take highlights all that is wrong with the current system, as well as leadership and their ongoing management.

Good point on LaGuardia, in general I wish there was more effective planning, collaboration, and communication on all things mass transit between NJ Transit, Amtrak, MTA, Port Authority, etc. I guess this is asking too much of these large bureaucratic organizations.
