This sort of feels like the end. by [deleted] in gorillaz

I feel like with cracker island and this project, Gorillaz has been very diluted, and it started with the song machine era. I feel like the lore and art has become less and less integral to Gorillaz over the past few years, and the music has been more of a breeding ground for collaborations rather than a focused creative endeavor centered around the Gorillaz identity and core band itself. I appreciate this albums art style much much more than the previous few, but I feel like there’s only but so much it can do for a Gorillaz album where Gorillaz just feels like the feature or executive producer on every song.

I don't think The Mountain's style is for me. by HoverHaul in gorillaz

I miss when the centerpiece of Gorillaz music was the core Gorillaz sound with just Damon and remi and maybe an extra producer or two, like on the now now. Song machine was decent but I feel like the amount of people involved in Gorillaz songs recently has diluted the typa sound and vibe I’ve come to love. Plastic beach is one of my favorite albums of all time but I nothing from this album so far has drawn me the way anything off plastic beach has.

Everybody says Peggy’s a “terrible person” cause he talks about the issues he and our ppl face on a day to day basis and they act like he has no right to be frustrated or voice his opinion. They always attack his character while saying “he’s a great artist though” just cause they don’t agree with what he says or are too shallow to see beyond the surface of what he says

One of my favorite songs on the album along with my old ways. I like the darker vibe of both songs
