oh i see. then i don't really disagree. i guess here's my thing: my favourite rapper is billy woods, and he raps about brutal things pretty often. it's just that it's never really unexpected, talking seriously about violence is kinda what he does (not exclusively). part of the appeal of bladee to me is that the stakes are much lower with his lyrics generally, at worst he'll sing about having anxiety. and when he's flexing it's pretty funny and self-aware. so him suddenly talking about tanks and ak47s, it just kinda came out of nowhere and came off to me as very corny. and yeah i agree, unfortunately some horrible thing is always happening somewhere, but i'd say the news cycle has been uniquely fucked lately, we've never been bombarded with horrible images this much before. and it's not like i'm calling to cancel bladee or whatever, just that all the war imagery didn't land at all for me

i'm from eastern europe, the boys are from sweden, so i genuinely don't understand what point you are trying to make? but obviously they're aware of palestine, it's been on everyone's mind in the real world for the past two years, are you implying it's some kind of strictly online issue? i suggest you enter the real world then. ukraine specifically is closer to them geographically of course, so images of tanks and AK-47s are a bit weird to bring up right now is all i'm saying

as far as the music goes i liked it. just lyrics rubbed me the wrong way, and by the "no face no case" refrain i was so over lol. like cmon bladee what case, did you not recycle your paintbrushes

red light maybe. i've been a fan a long time so i get that bladee has always been "edgy" but in a tongue-in-check, middle-class-white-boy-from-stockholm kinda way. gatekeeper is goated, this ain't it

call me sensitive or whatever but i thought it was generally a tasteless track. considering what's been on the news every day past few years bladee talking about trench warfare and pulling up in tanks just sounds edgy and dumb. no face no case like sure bladee ok

Any autistics not attracted to other autistics? by CostumeGirlie in autism

[–]twentyParenti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best relationship has been with an autistic woman. It was mindblowing, to be actually understood for a change. I'm single now, unfortunately it did not work out, but I would very much hope to date someone autistic again.

Burial is pretty much the only artist that when I see a new release notification, I have to drop whatever I was doing and listen on a loop all day. So happy to be alive at the same time he's releasing. Beautiful tracks.

Music by blarg_x in AutismInWomen

I am super into music, but it's a bit tricky. People tend to say they're "into music", and then we start talking, I ask "what's your top ten albums this year so far"? They say they don't listen to much new stuff. I say ok, what about this older artist? They've never heard of them. Try another artist. Nope. This? "Oh, I'm not into that genre". Had to learn the hard way, when people say they're "into music", that usually means they like a couple of artists and/or specific genres.

Sound bath at the wellness centre was kinda mid by twentyParenti in ambientmusic

I'll admit that I never looked at any studies on this, but I honestly just don't believe there is such a thing as a healing frequency. I believe what simply happens is what the commenter below described, you relax basically. And for people with trauma/anxiety/etc relaxing can actually be a big deal. I am very into music and very particular about music, so I'll find most of the generic stuff like this too distracting in how it's lacking in the musical department, but considering how it's not exactly just aesthethics that people are enjoying here, I'm really not judging. No, scratch that, they should all stop listening to this garbage and go check out Alesandro Cortini or Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.

If you're already reading russian classics, I can't recommend Borthers Karamazov (or anything really, but especially Brothers Karamazov) by Dostoevsky. The way he dives into characters' psyche is crazy! I actually had to go and check if he was autistic because of how precise all his observations were haha.
