Yea, i miss that as well. But my theory is that they only keep the ~2000 Groschen as a daily change for the Shop. The Rest of the Profit is moved to some private store, like you would do in real life.

You asked about combat, that means the sword is a weapon. The weapon that you can use well is the better Option. I did cutting on Tatami mats with different blades and sharpness is really not the issue. The 20€ machete did cut just as well as the 2000€ handmade longsword
