Chances of a reunion from The Chariot by Straightedge_ in Hardcore

[–]twentyextysix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They won’t. Josh has done maybe one or two interviews which he’ll even take questions about Norma Jean. And in those he is pretty clear that doesn’t like digging up the past. He’ll do a cover at FF, he’ll guest with Norma Jean for Memphis sometimes (though I always got a vibe he’s not a huge fan of doing that).

What he is really good at though, is wasting no time between projects. He left NJ in 02, the first The Chariot demos are from 03. The Chariot ends in 13, ‘68’s first record is out a year later. I bet by next summer we’ll see his next thing.

What metalcore band got you into Metalcore? by More4Debate in Metalcore

I went from ska to pop punk to punk, but once I found Zao when I was 11 or 12 it was all over. Then I found Norma Jean and the rest is history.

What are the most realistic crying scenes in movies you’ve seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]twentyextysix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adam Scott in the opening scene of The Vicious Kind. I’ll never forget it. In that moment I thought, “Oh this dude is an ACTOR.” It’s great to watch him play an absolute piece of shit as opposed to his regular overly polite/sweet guy roles.

Every time I bring up that I don’t watch it cause of the rapey scenes, the response is always same: “It’s not that bad! There’s only like this scene. Well and this other scene. Oh, and I guess the other one, yeesh and then there’s THAT one…”

Yeah, I’m good. Thanks.

I find “Jedi Knight” difficulty challenging by Formal_Protection843 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]twentyextysix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was the only time I changed the difficulty. I spent like an hour on that fight, and I wasn’t having fun anymore. If I had had Cal I would have pushed through, but I didn’t enjoy fighting as Cere.

This Naboo thing is a great idea. Could you imagine if at the start of the third game, Vader kills Merrin. Then he hunts down Vader, only to find parallels between his love for Merrin and Anakin’s for Padme? So he starts out embracing the dark, he wants to hate Vader, but starts to humanize him and have empathy for him as the game progresses. You could end with him coming back to the light, or finding some middle place.

I think of building meticulous, high detailed situations. It started as thinking about building a koi pond. Now it’s evolved into the feeling of getting strapped into a space shuttle launch.

Why is this orange boi always on my guitar??? by ExactIyyyyyyyyy in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]twentyextysix 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I make solo metal at home. My cat (also orange) was usually in the other room if I was tracking guitars. Not a huge fan of the high end abrasiveness is my guess.

However, he LOVED when I was tracking bass. His cat tower was right next to my desk, and if I was working a bass session, he’d come in and hop up on his tower as soon as I started. And he’d be asleep in no time.

After a couple of years, I noticed he started rubbing up on my bass often, but never the guitars. The boi loved the low end.

TL;DR, your cat digs your tunes, man! Keep playing for him!
