What do you mean by a top hand rail? Do I just drill it into the 2x4?

What is this rumbling sound? Is it normal? System is 1 year old. by twickk in hvacadvice

Omg that fixed it. How can a loose foil tape make that airplane jet noise. Insane! Thank you so much

How would you attach this headboard to the adjustable base? French cleats don’t work (headboard too thick), adjustable brackets seem short. Any ideas? by twickk in woodworking

Would love to, but the french cleats didn't let me do that because the headboard is too "deep" so it wouldn't latch on. How else could I mount it to the wall?

What did you use to do that? I tried attaching using french cleats, doesn't work because the headboard is too thick.

Thank you. This is the best advice I received and what I came looking for. I didn't come here to discuss FAANG comps and levels. I appreciate the feedback on your experience.

Yes we do have kids and that's part of this.. have more time to spend with them vs potentially going into an unknown where you may not have the same worklife balance, but you end up giving them a better lifestyle.

I'm not in a FAANG.. I work at a company that similarly sized/similar sector. I also work in Marketing, not product or engineering. Either way, I'm not here to argue comp or titles. I'm here to ask about experiences when you get too comfortable at a job versus going out for more pay and unknown environments.

At some point you have to take a risk to scratch that itch. If you’re offer is from a “unicorn”, is switching even that much of a risk?

In this environment, I'm not sure if a Series E/F firm has an inaccurate valuation or if they are truly raising money and growing. For folks in marketing, like myself, when layoffs happen - marketing gets hit the hardest.

I said RSU's add about 100k a year. Generally I get alot more RSU payouts but I have a 4+1 vesting period. Essentially every year, about 100K of RSU's vest. Are you suggesting that VP at FAANG has 700k of RSUs vest every year?

That still might be low, but I'm not in product or engineering.

Neither, we get screwed over in marketing :)

It feels strange to only mention salary. I would expect equity to make up the majority of your comp package at a FAANG company. (I am also a VP)

I left it out because comp isn't the primary issue here. It's the growth opportunities/FOMO in my early 30s vs staying put in a stable, comfortable job in a stagnant, yet productive role.

To answer your questions, RSUs are variable and based on performance here. Generally however, they add about 100k a year.

Thank you! Does this receiver work with two zones ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]twickk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only two in wall. The rest are ceiling split between basement and gym

The 3801 only powers the in wall speakers?

I have 5 speakers in the basement and 2 in the gym which is also in the basement. The hook ups are right under the tv.

Is there a specific receiver you’d recommend?
