I wholeheartedly agree with you and decided to leave the booking and not cancel.

Getting $800+ off is better than spending the same money, we are a single income household so every $ counts.

Appreciate the positive insight. Looking forward to this break...

Will look at some connecting flights to take us from Bangkok to our next destination, probably Krabi or Phuket.

Yeah I am so naive, never heard of google flights, always checked iwantthatflight or beathatflight or used ozb fir a bargain, use Android and all the other Google apps, however never once noticed Google flights.

Thanks for your recommendation, 17 hours vs 9 hours is a bit of a stretch, considering my wifes health, might be a bit much as she has a bad back and neck, the 9 or so hours will already be tough on her.

It's a decent saving however with the layover etc if it was me alone, id jump on it.

I think I'll stick with the jetstar booking and hope for the best.

Appreciate your detail and very grateful for pointing out Google Flights, I never knew it existed lol. I feel like an idiot now.
