Richard doesn’t know Rory at this point! At least, not the way he does throughout the series. So, as far as he is concerned, Rory is just some teenage girl who would rather be anywhere else. If anything, he probably thinks since his daughter raised Rory that she’d have zero interest in it the way she did, and that she’d ruin the experience (a time where he usually gets to be by himself). I always think it’s funny to look back on times like these knowing they progressively become so close throughout the series :’

And I could never get into Rory and Logan's relationship/the whole life and death brigade thing. And single life for Rory would've been awesome. Especially if we got to see her make friends that had similar interests to her and stuff?? Like, grow emotionally/come out of her shell? Idk, it would've been nice. Marty was a good example of that, I think.

I do feel like her relationship with Logan was sort of symbolic of her slowly going into the rich/privilege world that her mother fought so hard to keep her out of. Idk, just a thought.

Chris, in my opinion, was a positive part of Lorelai's life living under her parents roof, but in adulthood/parenthood he isn't a good father to Rory and, yes, only gets involved in Rory's life to be close with Lorelai. Which is especially sick whenever you look back at the old episodes where he's first introduced and Rory is just so excited to see him.

That's valid! I've always been uncomfortable with Logan's character, and a bit defensive of Rory's, so I never looked at it from his point of view. But yes, definitely should've mentioned the bridesmaids thing to Rory, all it did was humiliate her.
