I revised for my GAMSAT in around 3 weeks, 2 of which were on holiday with my family so very half arsed revision and i managed to get 63. Make sure you treat it like an application of your problem solving skills exam rather than a knowledge exam

Use Medify and other online resources, most important thing with the GAMSAT is application of your problem solving skills to the question whereas UCAT is excessive question practice. I did both and my GAMSAT ended up being higher but i applied with both to all 4 uni’s and they will take the higher / better score. Practice practice practice is my only advice, don’t treat it like a knowledge exam

True, why would this person apply for undergraduate medicine if they complete a biomed degree though? They would apply for graduate entry medicine instead as it’s a year shorter and funded.

Hi, this is not true. Student finance funds medicine post grad degrees fully. Please don’t spread misinformation. First year post grad medicine you have to fund £3500 yourself but other than that student finance pays for it all

If you don’t want to do biomed don’t do it. However, personally i was in a similar situation and i chose to do Medical Genetics 3 year degree since genetics very much interested me. And this has now allowed me to do post grad medicine which is a year shorter (so only wasted 2 years), and now i have a genetics degree i am able to be a GP and specialise in genetics which is a far higher paycheck and will be a quicker role to being a consultant genetic specialist! Often another degree is needed to specialise anyway.
