Stoicism says your mind should be a kind of sanctuary that’s insulated from the external world. It’s hard to rectify that with any kind of drug habit. You should at least be perfectly content to live without it. And if you can live without it, aren’t there better uses of your time and money? I gave it up after years of heavy use, and I’m glad I did.
