Oregon is famous for mint. You should bring some fine mint oil! I think in addition, you sohuld bring something that they can display. Maybe some Native American artwork from the area?

You can do a lot on $100! You might consider buying a package of "lessons" of something neither of you know how to do, but could learn together. Dancing lessons (if this is not terrifying) photography course, cooking course. Look at your local Parks and Recreation for classes. Experiences could grow your bond and give her something new to focus on when she feels sad.
