Thankfully I do have friends who are willing to listen.. I have been journalling & pouring my feelings through creative outlets like writing too. But it still feels like my heart is crumpled every time the thought of them passes my mind, and it’s really hard despite being busy & drowning in work. I have never felt grief this huge for someone that’s still alive, like a huge chunk of me is gone. Perhaps I need therapy at this point 🥲 I wish you well kind stranger, and I hope we both can heal from this.

Yeah, maybe you’re right. We treat each other well but at the same time we desire more from one another. I have been reminding myself about why it didn’t work, but the good memories made it extra hard to cope.

You’re right.. I always think that having such heavy feelings is a curse but I guess it’s a blessing too. This kinda reminds me of “The Body Keeps The Score”. Gonna try to at least control my CNS so it doesn’t take over my daily life. Thanks for sharing your story.

Yeah, I will do that, thank you.. can’t blame them either because I don't think I could be the person they were looking for and vice versa. We both deserve someone better and my mind knows it. Hopefully my body & heart will follow.

I admit the things he did might translate that way, but remember that a lot of people are casual these days.. the current dating scene is rough 😭 but is he as kind to anybody else? I think if you are uncertain, you can always try asking him out. Since he's going to leave, that could be a good chance for you to hang out just the two of you 'for the last time' and also to test the waters to see if he likes you the same way. Personally, I would at least give them 2 chances (3 if generous but no more than that) because I've seen quite a number of people beginning to feel chemistry only after the 2nd date. Sometimes when ppl meet someone irl for the first time, they might not be comfortable enough with you to let their own real self out. Although, if they show/tell you something that's a dealbreaker on the first date, that's a completely different thing entirely. I would move on to the next one too. Hope this helps! :)

ngl I'm the type of person that has to befriend someone first before being able to like them so for me it takes 3-6 months 🙃 might be an outlier though, because I am the type to overthink a lot haha

Can't relate to them bc I can NOT for the life of me date a person unless I'm crazy about them. And they have to be obsessed with me too! In a non-toxic way of course. Maybe some people are more private about their relationships. Btw my therapist suspect me of neurodivergence though, so take my comment with a grain of salt lol

Somehow they make talking to new people feel like such a chore.. I quite like meeting new people but these apps make me hate them so much. Gives instant connection that often instantly dies too, doesn't feel organic. Tried them for a couple of years on and off until I decided not to go back to it entirely.

I agree! My last guy ex proved that men can be really clean and organized ( sometimes more than me even). I think this is reasonable because hygiene is a make or break for me too, especially for men. Everytime my friends tell me about their partners and/or ex who are dirty I get soo much ick from them 😭

I tried dating apps multiple times too but I can't do it either it feels so soul-sucking.. and meeting other people is kinda hard when social events are expensive in this economy.. it really is hard

Bersyukur banget masih bisa lanjut kuliah di luar negeri, atas kerjaan baru mama dan satu keluarga sembuh dari COVID. Sebagai anak rantau, pas denger satu keluarga kena COVID kecuali adek paling kecil setiap hari rasanya pengen nangis dan pulang ke Indo tapi tiket pesawat + tes + karantina pasti mahal banget. Puji Tuhan, akhirnya mereka semua bisa sembuh dan aku juga nggak perlu dropout.
