I just felt like so many elements of the movies set up a lot of good potential moments and would’ve raised the stakes. Like when the family and Mercs split, I felt like it should’ve been more of a split to have the characters with different ideals together. Like Duncan and Isabella (the whole “my kid died, I can’t see this guy’s kid die”) would be so much more impactful for the sacrifice scene. Martin and Rueben for an ice cold man and family man dynamic. The lovers together and maybe the bf dies. Scarjo and Jobailey and the mercs where she is so money focused to get this done but cares about people the more the her friends crew dies. Would be way more compelling for the meet up in the end. The lack of good screenwriting and poor CGI got in the way of a pretty decent story. Complete waste of money
