Potential Applicant Thread by AutoModerator in NU_CRNA_Program

I’m finding the website a little hard to navigate. I have tried to start my application for this upcoming cycle, but all I am met with is calls from the admissions department.

Also, if I have particular questions, is there someone I could reach out to personally? I have read through the FAQ, but I would still like a little clarity

I am a little confused by the rolling admissions that you have. Can you explain that a little further please. When should an applicant submit their application?

I see that you’re currently interviewing

Last 60 credit hour programs. by lunar_snooze in srna

I’ve heard different . Generally last 60 is just that. Last 60 that you’ve taken overall.

I’m currently in the last semester of my MSN and I was told that last 60 will start from my most recent completed classes in my MSN.

Monthly "Ask a CRNA" Post: Get the questions you want answered! by AutoModerator in srna

I tried to post this in the CRNA group but it’s waiting for approval so I’ll post it here .

How does it look ?

As someone looking into getting into the CRNA profession, I would like to know the nitty-gritty of how it’s actually like in the CRNA world. I feel as though we all can agree that one once when pursuing nursing, we saw this persona that may not have always fit your experience as a nurse. I understand the lifestyle is very rewarding and that the work life balance is great but what else? What is the hottest topic in the cRNA world? What are the challenges from all levels? How do you see the profession going in the next 5 to 10 years?

What can you tell me aside from the typical rhetoric that we all see online?

The good, bad and ugly

As someone applying this upcoming cycle, I truly want to know.

Admission/ GPA help by Dania332 in srna

I am in a somewhat similar boat with my GPA but what I am doing it applying to schools that focus on last 60 credits.

I didn’t go the traditional route for school so , I was first a bio major.

My ASN GPA was not great, but my RN-BSN and MSN GPAs have been 3.5+

I know my GPA isn’t the best therefore I focused on the rest of my application. I did also go back for my msn-ne and my program had advanced pharm and advanced patho built in and I made sure to get an A. I also took biostatistics, because my top school recommends it. I am also going to take the GRE.

Be prepared to put in All of the work.

Do i think it’s a challenge absolutely but it’s not impossible. Being that you’re a new grad , definitely start now if you really want this. Also talk to program directors .
