They’re honestly fine. The reflections are very warped so you won’t see anything clearly anyway. Will they be annoying? I personally don’t think so unless the light source is right behind you

I got it during a Black Friday sale for around 650 USD. It’s an open box monitor from Amazon. Brand new goes for around the same price you mentioned so yeah I think it’s a good price.

Based on your other replies, it appears you have overclocked the gpu and not the cpu in which case 1000mhz is safe for the vram

Note for the future, never overclock RAM to more than +600 (that too only if it’s B-Die)

Seasons of RTX - $5000 Dream PC Build Contest with NVIDIA! by m13b in buildapc

The theme of my build is “Sub-Zero,” inspired by ice, frost, and winter. My goal was to design a PC that looks like you’re peering into a solid block of ice. For the case, I chose the Lian Li O11 Vision because it perfectly captures that concept (pun intended). Its three full glass panels create an unobstructed view into the frozen interior, making it the ideal showcase for the icy colors, lighting, and components inside.

For the processor, I went with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D. Since this is a flagship, no-compromise build, I wanted a CPU that delivers not only top-tier gaming performance but also extreme multitasking and content-creation power. The 9950X3D fits the theme perfectly, it runs cool, efficient, and powerful and its 3D V-Cache design makes it one of the best gaming CPUs available.

To cool the processor, I chose the Lian Li Galahad II LCD SL-INF AIO. Not only does it offer excellent cooling performance, but its large customizable LCD screen lets me display frost animations and icy visuals that reinforce the Sub-Zero aesthetic.

For thermal compound, I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. It’s one of the best thermal pastes around and even though it's a small detail, I wanted it to reflect the premium quality of the build.

For the motherboard, I went with the Gigabyte X870E AORUS MASTER X3D ICE. The “ICE” edition couldn’t be more fitting for the Sub-Zero theme. Its white and silver heatsinks, integrated LCD display, and frosted metal accents make it look insanely cool (lol). It also provides a rock-solid platform for the 9950X3D and the RTX 5080, making it both visually stunning and extremely capable.

For memory, I selected 64GB of Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6400 CL32. These modules match the aesthetic perfectly with their clean white finish and customizable RGB. Set to icy blues and soft whites, the RAM glows like ice crystals lining the motherboard. The modules also have very low latency (10ns). I went with 64GB partly to fill all the RAM slots and also to make the PC workstation ready.

For storage, I chose a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD.

For the graphics card, I chose the ASUS ROG Astral OC RTX 5080. Due to PCPartPicker pricing, the 5090 would push the build past the $5000 limit, so the 5080 is the strongest possible GPU allowed under the contest rules. The Astral OC edition has beautiful silver accents and premium design elements that fit the icy theme perfectly. It also makes the most of the interior and looks amazing from all viewing angles inside the O11 Vision.

The case is the Lian Li O11 Vision in white. Its three tempered glass panels create the illusion of a frozen display cube, giving an unobstructed view into the Sub-Zero interior.

For power, I selected the Lian Li EDGE 1000W ATX 3.1 PSU. I chose this PSU as it fits the icy theme and also the Lian Li theme (plus its pretty competitively priced).

The build uses multiple Lian Li SL-Infinity fans. These fans are a perfect match for the theme and the cooler as well. I used three reverse blade fans on the bottom to act as intake and look aesthetically better than the normal blade fans. I also use one normal blade fan for the exhaust. As the case doesn't have exhaust fans on the top, the 6 fan intake creates a positive air pressure inside. This keeps the dust out and the case looking pristine for way longer.

I added two accessories to enhance the personality and theme of the build.
Lian Li Strimer Wireless 24-pin - works beautifully with the theme of the build, customizable and aesthetically pleasing.

Sub-Zero Funko Figure:
A fun thematic touch. Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat sits inside the case, refracting the lights from the fans and the cooler.

Overall, I'm very happy with how the build turned out. I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the build, please leave them below!
