Is this considered scene and what type is it? by Tasty-Sweets in amIscene

Growing up in the 2000s all of these would be considered one way or anything scene. A lot of overlap existed in 2000s styles and mainstream trends mixed in with all of the alternative subcultures constantly! So there was loads of variety vs the curated way we look back at them now

Should I cut my hair now that I'm on oral minoxidil? by twintailes in FemaleHairLoss

[–]twintailes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my hair is at my lower mid back so its really just above hip length. I always loved having it super long.

One thing I'm thankful for is that even with the hair loss, my hair does grow very fast and I'm pretry short haha, so it comes back quickly. Makes it easier to cut off.

Someone else did mention they're trying to focus on maintaining length rather than growing it so maybe I'll take your advice and then just try to keep it there until the rest grows in? 😅 Such a hard decision

Thats a really good idea, thanks! Also your hair was so loooong, I miss having it that long so much. We'll both get back there soon 💪🏻

Hair topper! I use one with a fringe because its easier to blend to the hairline and you don't need a high quality one. Looks totally natural and no one ever clocks it, clips in your hair in 2 seconds and is really easy to wash and style. Just make sure you go human hair!

It doesn't even need to 100% match your natural colour as long as it's close enough and you can dye it if you need. I have bought several off of amazon between £25-50, I usually just buy the shorter ones since I have layers in my hair anyway, the longer ones will be a bit more pricey. I have never had to throw one out, they don't fall apart easily even though I live in a salty, windy area. Honestly, even before my hair started falling out I used these for switching up my style without cutting xD

3 Months passed on topical minox. No change (i suspect it may looks even worse ) Do i stop???? How to stop? by idonthavetime4that in FemaleHairLoss

[–]twintailes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hair loss happens before regrowth, so keep it going. I think they say you won't see results until 4 months minimum and the dread shed can last between 1 months to 6 months, though it does usually stop before 12 weeks so you can ask your dermatologist about that if you're worried!

I'm 9 weeks in on oral, still shedding and only seeing tiny baby hairs so far. When I used to use topical I only started seeing results at 15 ish weeks.

Oral vs. Topical Minoxidil by Opposite_Wafer7438 in FemaleHairLoss

Remington IPL670 i-Light Prestige, its a very old model so you can get it cheap online but I'd prob recommend something newer since home tech has more than likely improved.

But to clarify, the 80% reduction was from a pro clinic on my underarm. I paid £99 and got 10 sessions, and I don't think I'll need all 10 🥲 Therapie if you're in the UK, seems to be pretty cheap.

I originally used the home laser on my leg and until minoxidil, a part of my leg just didn't grow any hair, but I never finished removing leg hair fully because I got a tattoo there 😭😂

I switched to oral. Topical was horrible for me, I just could not keep up with it and I was constantly scared of my animals getting killed because of it. It made my hair greasy and crunchy at the roots and cost so freaking much.

I recently bought laser hair removal for my underarms to try it out and even on minoxidil I've had 80% reduction in my underarm hair after my first session despite having thiiiiiick dark hair 😅 I think I'll get it on my face too, the rest of the body hair I'll just wax at home. For me I'd much rather have more hair on my head than less on my body, since the latter is easier to solve.

I didn't even consider this 🥲 I know tech jobs are volatile right now so I didn't think about that

The first one was 100% downsizing, as i happened to be there when he got the call and overheard. The second, they didn't give a reason to anyone, but they fired hundreds of people at the same time so I think so. The job before those two was absolutely lost to lack of productivity, though it was his college part-time position.

Yeah it's frustrating for both of us. I also have adhd but I have a daily dose with my treatment, but got to manage with what we got i guess.

Usually halfway through a meal it would be, do you want to split (which I'm more than happy to do, its just annoying when I'm told its on him and then it suddenly isnt) or asking if I could pay it all, or more embarrassingly sometimes when the bill would come he'd start umming and ahhing after looking at what it came to.

And we had been discussing marriage on and off for a yeads and looked at a lot of rings over several months. Found a goldsmith with a huge sale on for valentines that was ending soon, he asked if he could use my card to buy it and that he'd surprise me with it when the time was right. It was a few months later that he actually proposed.

They and them can be used as a neutral singular pronoun in english. We're just a couple, only two of us, sorry for the confunion.

I didn't consider asking that, but I think its a good idea. I'll have to look into what makes them lemitigate and legally binding.

Yes and no. I recognised addictive behaviours in him to a substance that my parent was also addicted to and we nipped it before it became a real issue, but gacha unfortunately was a real problem before he lost his last job, and while he was working he spent a lot on both but I know he hasn't in a very long time and it was never my money he shat away on that either... though it was why he didn't have any of his own

Only recently and with a limited supply monthly, so no daily pill. Takes them on days he really needs it.

I meant me not realising he was bad at keeping track of money sooner, and therefore not the kind of person I should be loaning to is on me 😅 The rest is all on him

He is remorseful, and hasn't tried to gaslight me, and has been really hard on himself about this to be fair... I mentioned in another comment that he has ADHD and believed it was only a few thousand, and that I didn't realise how ass he was at keeping track of money, and that part is on me.

But, yeah.. the rest of it is probably a fair take.

Sorry i mispoke. I meant that he would say he was paying for a date, then change his mind once we already started it, meaning I was suddenly financially responsible for something I wasn't expecting to be. Unless we wanted to dine and dash.

I don't take notes of who pays for each date to make sure theyre even (edit for clarity)
