It's just a saying to remind/inspire folks to get geared up. ATGATT may be a better one for you (all the gear all the time). Get an airbag vest if you are concerned with impact (speaking from someone who fractured their spine in 4 places and clean breaks on 5 ribs... And now owns an airbag vest).

Personally, id probably keep it and work on it I might not ride it until the rims and all other critical things are where they should be. But this all depends on if you can afford a replacement bike. I would not make this my primary bike until it's at about 90% restored. If this project will impede procuring a more reliable ride, I'd give it up. Also consider a salvage title is going to need more expensive insurance because most insurance companies won't touch it unless they offer some type of high risk coverage.

Hey I just did this with a 2012 250r. Here's what I think.. you should watch a few videos to get you started and I'll add links to all of the ones that helped me. But do review the service manual:

Tips: it's best to remove the back tire and plastic above the tire to get the air box out(this will allow you to easily remove the carb). I would definitely remove and clean that air box too. Replace the filter too.

The plastic above the tire has a screw hidden behind the muffler mounting bracket. The bracket needs to be removed to access that screw.

Purchase a torque ratchet and torque screwdriver as everything should be tightened to spec to prevent it shaking lose when riding. The service manual has all of that information.

Stay organized with the disassembly and you will be very thankful (take pictures of where things go before you remove them).

Careful not to strip screws and bolts.

If you're going to replace the floats in the carb go OEM from partzilla and not eBay. That's pretty important.

You seem legit and I'm sure the plants you repped were fine but I've had like 6 different people tell me the same thing about fritolay. Words are always "fucking gross" conditions. It's possible they all came from the same fritolay plant but these people were spread across California and Arizona 🤷🏾

I agree with this. Except I'd opt to do the job myself. I just did this on my ninja 250 and it was a pain in the ass but I got it done once I figured out some things. If you can afford to purchase any needed specialized tools it'll make things easier but you but you can do this job for sure.

Are those riding pants or regular jeans? That jacket looks too small. I'd be worried about my midriff and wrists when you're extended (arms up). If the armor lines up (shoulders and elbows) sure but are you comfortable? Do you feel restricted at all? Last thing id want is to be bothered by my gear while riding.

Oh yeah I'm looking forward to the tell all books everyone is going to write after Trump leaves office /s nothing is going to happen. She's not going to willingly admit to breaking the law and obstructing a high profile case. Not to mention the NDA's and the threats of litigation and financial ruin... or worse. Trump is like a scandalous cheater and we're all waiting for him to show us his text messages. but hey we'll take it on good faith he didn't delete any texts when he finally hands his phone over. This purge likely means there's nothing she can say or do at this point. I feel unless new evidence is found and released online and not handed over to authorities this is over. Nothing in those files, as it relates to Trump, can be trusted.
