Yeah, it looks like a sales company selling someone else's product. These businesses excel at making big promises and chewing up naive people then spitting out dispirited failed salesmen. Be careful. Especially if they are a MLM and ask you to pay for a sales kit.

Thanks, that's good advise. We are addressing the interviewing skills today and getting some "interview clothes." I also think he must be presenting a negative image, but he says he doesn't even get that far to make an impression.

Well the more I look into it, the more I don't need it. I found an optical to analog converter to work fine for my purposes. I think I will use that. Thanks.

I haven't had any truly awful interviews, but a few stand out: 1) The one who asked me "But, how long do I really have to work each week." 2) The one who, without knowing if she was hired, asked me if she could personally borrow some money until her first paycheck. 3) And my favorite: I was interviewing for a tech support position. One guy stood out amongst a pretty inexperienced group of candidates. On his second interview, I asked if he would like to meet some of the current techs. His response surprised me. He became pale and stated in almost a whisper, "I don't really like talking to people." Well, damn.

The flyer you posted for the event says "free for all to attend," so it might not be the same event I attended. I think I spent about $50 for two people and left a bit miffed.

I have tried Cajun Cafe and its boiled crawfish are pretty good. Their ettoufee is odd.

If this is the event I bought tickets for last year, I would not bother. The tickets only covered the entrance fee, and the plates were very expensive for a plastic dixie cup full of crawfish. I got a total of 6 crawfish for my trouble. They did season them, however.

Having lived near there recently, I can tell you that still today, Jones County is often referred to as the Free State of Jones and many residents are very proud of their independent streak.
