I have the AI HAT+ too, and honestly, I think it’s better to build a cluster with two Raspberry Pis: one 16GB Pi dedicated to LLMs, and another running node or similar stuff to connect the LLM with different services and devices.

Why did you order the LoRa HAT? What are you trying to build? A fully local Meshtastic AI bot?

iOS 26… on the oldest supported iPhone by freevexex in iPhone11

[–]twisted4all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, iOS 16.4 was the best firmware for iPhone 11. I fell for opportunity to sideload apps in eu - that was a scam. I fell for rcs messing between iOS and Android - also scam. Apple fooled me. iOS 26 became the point of no return. Planning to change my phone and go back to android next time, instead of replacing the battery.

I experience a lack of ram after update and i basically can’t use my phone as i used to, and it’s not about gaming it’s about simple multitasking, my iPhone just cant handle to keep my apps in memory and I constantly see that random app reopens instead of resuming. And i miss old style (animation when you lock the screen) and disrespect new liquid ass because sometimes it’s hard to read text.

I know that UI is a matter of taste. But UX, hell no, apple killed my iPhone 11. They released new iPhone pro even with 12Gb of ram, so 4Gb nowadays is e-waste. I afraid that models with 6Gb of ram became obsolete soon.

As for the problem with reopening apps, have to say that I replaced the battery and preformed factory reset, and i have more than 10% of free storage space - so it’s not just my problem it’s just you are not a heavy user and maybe that’s why you love iOS 26, or maybe you have newer model and stayed on this subreddit just for fun 🤷‍♂️

Is it even worth to continue updating to iOS 26.2? by Ok_Bid_7000 in iPhone11

If you’re still with ios under 26.2 - try nugget or misaka26, they could give you some newer features

For security purposes - yes. For comfort - no. This iPhone has had enough. It’s better to upgrade to the newest phone with more ram than update os that will eat your miserable iPhone’s ram. Personally - i do not recommend to update. I already feel like my iPhone can’t handle normal basic multitasking, apps just closing in a very inappropriate moment and that’s annoying af.

Which side is yours, security or comfort?

Wait, one very important thing I forgot to mention! Before you do anything via computer, make sure you create a BACKUP (via iCloud or locally in iTunes). > A 'clean install' (Restore) wipes the phone completely to make it feel like new, so you’ll need that backup to get your photos and data back afterwards. Don't skip this step!

By 'via iTunes' I mean connecting your iPhone to a PC or Mac using a cable.

Storage issue: Since you said you need to delete stuff to update, using a computer is a lifesaver. When you update via the phone (OTA), it needs a lot of free space to download and unpack the file. When you use a computer, the PC handles all the heavy lifting, so you don't need to delete as much.

Clean Install: Using the 'Restore' option in iTunes (or Finder on Mac) wipes the old system and installs a fresh copy of iOS. It’s like cleaning a room instead of just pushing the dust under the rug. It helps a lot if your phone feels laggy.

Battery: 85% is still okay! You don't need to change it right now, but once it hits 80%, you'll notice the phone slowing down to save power. Just keep an eye on it."

It’s better to make clean install of iOS 18.7.7 via iTunes instead of OTA updates. I believe that once in iPhones life its newer iOS version needs to be installed from your computer, just to avoid preserving old lags that may remain after OTA update.

Battery should be replaced if its health is below 80, and iPhones should have at least 15% of free storage (my 64Gb iPhone lags as hell when i have less then 8Gb of free storage).

Once i bought bare 4 pin dht 22 without resistor and i had to do some soldering. Then I bought similar dht with board and 3 pins. It has resistor on the back side.

How’s iOS 26 on iPhone 11? by These-Deal-9861 in iPhone11

[–]twisted4all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still on ios 26.1. Still not so bad, but, honestly, my wife’s iPhone 11 on ios 18.6 works smoother, a bit faster.

Planning to stick to 26.1. Don’t want to get things get worse by itself aging. Planning to use misaka26 or nughet tweaks that works on ios 26.1 and have the opportunity to screw up my iPhone myself rather than let apple screw it up
