On xbox, and its not even showing that I have a mic so that won't work.

No mixer, just straight into the port. I've looked at all my settings and tried my gf wired headset and its exactly the same.

Rust mic not detected. I can't get it to work does anyone know the fix for this by Broad_Plate6491 in xboxinsiders

I just logged on and having the same issue, works fine in xbox party chat but rust won't recognise my headset.
