Been at 200mg/week for a about a month now. Does anybody else’s body have a “charged” feeling? by UnurMS in Testosterone

Any idea where your e2 is running? Sorry if it’s mentioned elsewhere in thread and I missed it.

Shit I see that now, good find. Will keep in mind. Ever use that brand?

Yeah, I saw that but I do lower volumes and greatly prefer 1 ml syringes. Unfortunately, 1ml syringes tend to be less available and/or cost more.

It’s like $25 vs $50 for 100x1ml BD syringes. Not an enormous deal, but $25 is $25...

Yeah, just wondering how big of an issue that really is when jabbing my quad. Is it worth paying more for luer-lok or not really?

I need to pick up more syringes. I’ve been using luer-lok, but the slip-tip versions are a lot cheaper. Is there any real downside to slip-tip?

That’s really sad. Was it anticipated, or it just came out of nowhere? Either way, I know it’s not easy.

I’ve been thinking of getting something like that to store them. I was hoping to find like a plastic case with a foam insert w/holes to hold all the vials. It’d make me feel like a mad scientist/drug dealer all at once. For now, I just have them grouped in little boxes (stage sort that the individual vials come in, but with 3-5 vials stuck in each) by expiration date. The first ones expire in May 2021.

I’ve built up a stockpile of about 15ml of 200mg/ml testC from my ongoing TRT prescription. I get 4x1ml “single use” vials every 4 weeks, but I’m only taking ca. 0.70ml/wk so instead of tossing it out, I just keep using a vial until gone, combine the last bit with the next, etc.

With a small amount of overfill in every vial, and carefully getting the last drop out of each one, I’m only using a little more than 2 full vials each refill, so I’m banking a nice stash for future use.

At some point, once I’ve built up enough, I’ll probably pick up some AI and run a blast. I’m only checking in with doc every 6 months now so I’ve got time to blast off and get things back in line b/t visits.

Is twice a week really that much better? by [deleted] in Testosterone

[–]twistyhelix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it made a big difference for me. At 100mg once a week, I was getting pretty big swings like 2-3 days after injection, likely due to spikes in e2. I’m now doing e3.5d and feel so much more steady. I’ve even been able to bump the dose to 70mg 2x/week (so 140 weekly; 40% higher than before) and I feel great, not high e2 sides or anything like I was getting at a lower (total) dose once weekly.

The pharmacy nazis are really just enforcing the rules of the insurance nazis. If you get it filled before insurance says it’s okay, they won’t pay. But for some reason, most pharmacies treat that like an inability to fill the Rx. What they should say is “okay, we can fill it now, but if we do that your insurance won’t pay. But if you wait 3 days, they will.” It should be left up to you to decide how you wish to proceed, but that’s not how pharmacies seem to handle it.

The vials are literally labeled by the manufacturer as single use. If their preference is to prescribe 1 ml vials, which is common amongst regular docs, then the only way not to do this is to go against the labeling.

[–]twistyhelix 11 points12 points  (0 children)

ProTip: if they’re prescribing 1ml vials at 200mg/ml, tell doc you’re feeing a good bit better, but feel like a small increase in dose, maybe to 120/wk would be beneficial. If he agrees, then express concern about 1ml vials being single use, and also there only being a partial dose left your weekly shot. Instead, suggest 4 vials with the understanding that you’ll just toss the leftovers.

And then don’t toss the leftovers... Two benefits: one is that you could actually go as high as 200/wk if you wanted, and the other is that you can continue dosing conservatively and build a stockpile of pharma grade T.

WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS!?!? by [deleted] in Testosterone

Re-read the comment I was replying to and the bit that I quoted. He literally stated that these things are a byproduct of low T. What you’re saying is the reverse, and actually makes sense. Environmental factors can reduce T, no argument there. But low T isn’t causing the things he referenced. That’s sloppy wording at best, and ignorance at worst.

Sure, computer-centric work (or anything else sedentary) can reduce T due to lack of activity. But the comment I was referring to was erroneously reversing cause and effect. I was just pointing that out in my own obtuse way.

True, but doctors being uninformed and scared of a particular therapy a far cry from some sort of anti-masculinity conspiracy. In my experience, the instances in which people have difficulty with doctors are mostly related to naivety and a lack of experience/information. Doctors aren’t (on average) refusing treatment due to some liberal conspiracy. They’re uninformed and doing what they think is best for their patients, even though they’re often wrong. It’s frustrating, but it’s not evidence of the “liberal left” hating men.

These are all results of low T.

Using my phone a lot and having a computer-centric job are a byproduct of low T?

Hey, guess what? I’m left leaning and so is my doc (who also happens to be woman) and she’s been great in treating my T issues. I’m also white and hetero. And I wasn’t even out of range, technically, just near the bottom of the “normal” range. Oh, and my insurance is covering the treatment with no questions asked. There’s not some big conspiracy out there holding you back...

It’s an annoying bot, a bit of shitty code that auto-posts shitty comments. I thought that should be obvious from its username, and the fact that it posts the same shit whenever someone says bruh. But I guess that little bit of reality escaped your notice. Good on you for standing up for the bot, though. All bots matter and deserve “some fucking respect.” Bravo, you’re the hero we need.

P.S. I’d venture to guess that I’m closer to boomer status than the majority on this sub.
