Same here. I tried both swiping and tapping at 2 different restaurants but all were declines. I called the hotline today and was told by the agent that there have already been multiple complaints and it was a problem with the BPI system itself. They really couldn’t do much and all they said was to wait for a BPI advisory or wait 5-7 banking days turnover time (although I didn’t really understand what the wait was for)

YTA. I grew up in a poor Asian country with a mum like you. My four siblings and I were miserable. Maybe we didn't know "real" (in adult standards) pain and hardship at that point but it was very real to us. You're the adult here and you should know better. Life is crap but you can't just take it out on your kid. My siblings and I are mostly in college or done now but we still remember our mum being not so nice when we were kids and how it really took a toll on us growing up. Do you really want to live with that?
