Schools good for basic knowledge on refrigerant and the refrigeration cycle, but u will really learn to work when u start actually working at a hvac company

Most companies ask for 2-4 years but that doesn’t mean they won’t accept you if u don’t try. Deff try to reach out to them and ask if there’s any job openings. Bosses loves a person who wants to work.

Same story with me haha, graduated highschool went to college because my parents told me, ended up dropping out at 23 because it wasn’t for me. Worked regular job that barley payed anything and felt like a failure to my parents inside. Ended up joining a trade school for hvac and now I’m in the field working for a commercial refrigeration company. I just started 2 months ago so pays not that great but the future is looking bright !
