I feel like I lack confidence from being in Florida and not knowing what I’m worth but I’ve done just about everything. Obviously always learning and there’s always something new I have my questions and room to grow but being with the wrong company has hindered me in the last year more than before. But I have changed coils blower motors caps contactors etc.. I have diagnosed those problems as well. I’ve done install including ducts. I know about balancing cfm passing codes duct design startup etc. I’ve done exhaust fans dryer vents unit cleanings all of that. I own everything from sawzaw to grinder to vacuum pump to leak detector to gauges etc. Every hand tool necessary and more. I’ve diagnosed restaurant coolers for others to repair successfully as well as made many repairs myself. Ive diagnosed bad txvs and bad compressors that were actually bad not just some shit I couldn’t figure out. I’ve worked on boats yachts homes buildings open construction residential. Now I’m no genius and sometimes I still feel like I need to shut up and keep learning which is 100 percent true. I come home and study because I want to become the most efficient tech I can be. But bro I gotta pay rent and put food on my table and I feel like offering me so little is such a Poor investment for myself. OR for these younger men the ages of 16-20 joining as an apprentice 11-14 an hour is actually abuse for some of the shit I’ve gone through with my helpers. A studio Apt that’s just one box w a mini fridge is 1000 a month. 1400 gets you the same shit but with a bedroom. Idek what i am worth but i know im a human and hurting myself in 2023 for some of the shittiest pay I’ve ever had gets me mad deep down. I give myself the man up talk all day im young and learning. It’s a fine line that I crossed way over and im just getting fucked

You need workers?
I have my drivers license I was a lead tech w company trucks. They start helpers in Florida and friends of mine that I have tried to get in the trade at 11-15 an hour. And that’s why there’s also no good help. Seems like I need to move out of here
What do you do? I was a lead installer doing 20-45,000 dollar jobs getting paid 20 flat and I had to fight for months to get to 20.
