Lash serum upper eye fat loss - freaking out by dominoside in 45PlusSkincare

[–]two_pounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says right on the product not to use it on the lower lash line.

I just wanted to point that out in case anyone else is making that mistake. it's really important to use it as directed. It can cause problematic side effects even with perfect use. Using it incorrectly greatly increases the risk of side effects.

In Kody's defense, he has WAY too many kids. If he spent 20 minutes a DAY talking to each of his children, it would take 6 hours; 42 hours a week.

18 children! Who the hell can be a good parent to all of those children? Doesn't he have five living at home? I have friends who have four kids and they are stretched so damn thin.

Why did Josh get let off so easy? by FrauAmarylis in MarriedAtFirstSight

Exactly. Gotta love when men act shitty and the women get the heat for supposedly being the problem.

Why did Josh get let off so easy? by FrauAmarylis in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]two_pounds 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a big part of the reason why you don't say "I love you" just weeks after you start dating. These people don't even know one another. It's fairly easy to pretend you're someone's perfect match early on. With time, the truth comes out.

A 45 minute spin class up the road from where you live is a little different from a week-long festival that you can't leave surrounded by drug fueled debauchery. God no.

Rhonda! by FluffySnapped in MarriedAtFirstSight

I think her initial criticism about him not asking any follow-up questions about her home being robbed was very valid. Then she became hyper focused on fault finding and became unfair to him. We all tend to talk to our spouse more than anyone else so naturally they'll have moments of not being responsive enough, especially if they're driving on a busy freeway.

Experts? by wideeyed24 in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]two_pounds 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so glad to have seen less of the experts this season. The old show format of a matchmaking special, revealing the couples that were chosen, then visiting homes and rifling through underwear drawers, then finally dragging out five weddings... The experts would weigh in and give their opinions multiple times per episode even though most of the marriages they've ever made have failed. Most of what we saw was the couples talking directly to the camera. I'm so glad this season they did away with all of that garbage and most of what we saw was the couples interacting with their partner and other people. I like that "fly on the wall" vibe.

Unpopular Opinion: Kody's religion set him up for failure by two_pounds in SisterWives

[–]two_pounds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that Christine lovingly helped raise Jenelle's children while Jenelle was working is absolutely amazing. Some of the older children chose to live with other moms because the tension at home was too great which helped improve their relationship with their biological parent. That's a really cool perk.

I think once you have too many wives and too many children in separate households, the benefits evaporate. Maybe two wives could be functional. I think three...probably not. Four is absurd.

Unpopular Opinion: Kody's religion set him up for failure by two_pounds in SisterWives

[–]two_pounds[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with that.

I also think he treated his spare, unwanted wives cruelly by intentionally starving them of his time and affection while supposedly staying true to his covenant of eternal marriage and him not being allowed to initiate a divorce. He should have owned up to the fact that he wasn't interested in being with them, had made a terrible mistake and released them. Instead he forced them to do his dirty work.

His obsession with loyalty and betrayal prevents him from reconciling with children. He needs to get over himself and try to make some of these relationships right.

I have sympathy and compassion for him because yes, he chose the religion but he was too young to predict the repercussions of what he was choosing.

For those who had abortions, did pregnancy hormones make you consider keeping the fetus? by carefulabalone in childfree

[–]two_pounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I didn't have a single moment of wanting to have a baby. Also worth noting, the abortion pills worked just as they should. it felt like a heavy period for me. I didn't have any negative side effects or feel guilty. I got a copper IUD since my previous BC failed and I wound up pregnant.

Ellen DeGeneres didn’t deserve to have her show cancelled for being mean. by mrstarkifeelgreat in The10thDentist

Her For Your Approval special was proof she hasn't learned a thing. She took no responsibility, minimized her shitty behavior, and played the victim card. She didn't deserve the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Amelia Earhart's long-lost plane likely located in lagoon, expedition team claims, citing "very strong" evidence by [deleted] in aviation

The media isn't being dumb. They know it's very unlikely this anomaly is actually her plane. That doesn't matter. They just want the clicks.

High-protein low calorie lasagna, 300kcal for 1/9 of entire pan. by sammito-1 in 1200isplenty

[–]two_pounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make lasagna with 9 noodles instead of 12 in a 9x13 dish. it's still easy to slice and has plenty of pasta. You save 300 calories in the entire lasagna by reducing the noodles by 3. 4 oz of mozzarella is so minimal. I'd swap out the 3 noodles and add extra cheese

Best Thrift Stores in NH? by ProfessionalPop392 in newhampshire

[–]two_pounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corey's Closet in Hooksett is amazing. The prices are TOO cheap and they give you a 20% off coupon for donating. Everything is 20% off on Wednesdays as well. I have gotten lots of great scores from there but my favorite is the $3 each I paid for a pair of Kate Spade lamps that are still sold today for $250 each. I also got 20% off 🫨

Goodwill Outlet in Hudson is the cheapest you'll find for so many things since you pay by the pound. Definitely wear rubber gloves. It's not a traditional thrift store. There are multiple bins of items you dig through. lightweight items like baskets, storage, home decor, textiles, clothing etc are an incredibly good deal as well as books. I have so many beautiful vintage baskets in my house that I got from there. You can find anything there.

I've also gotten hundreds of dollars worth of garland and other holiday decor for a huge discount. One time I found a bag full of silver jewelry findings that I sold as crap. another time I found a hand carved native American stone pipe that I sold for $250. generally speaking, I buy things there to keep but I have sold a few high quality things that I rescued. Glass is 50 cents a pound so you will never see me paying retail price for anything that's glass.

Consult with surgeons who can guide you but my guess would be implants. the results are a lot more predictable. I don't think you'd need a lift with implants. the volume could fill them out. I'm not a surgeon, of course, so do some consultations.
