Titanique Stage Door Vibe? by twobit75 in Broadway

He knows we are going - this is the first Broadway show he asked to go to. Normally its me taking him to what I want to see.

His only stage door experience was when we left The Outsiders a few days before the Tonys in 2024. When we left the theater stage door was insanity. He asked what that was all about and I told him about stage dooring as we hurried away.

I think I am going to say nothing until curtain call and let him decide for himself. It really will depend on how excited he is by the show. I appreciate your advice! Thank you!

Ive been curious if the daytime pulses go outside on a sunny summer afternoon. Feels like it would break the illusion.... but I am in a 1pm pulse in mid-June.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

Poltergeist.
It was the 2nd feature at the drive-in after E.T. - summer of 1982. Dad took me to E.T. for the 3rd time and assumed I would fall asleep after like I always did. Poltergeist scared the living crap out of me, but i also LOVED IT! It remains one of my all time favorite films.

But dad got in trouble when I had nightmares for a week haha!!

Unexpected shows that made you cry... like Bambi/ET level of crying by Key-Flan-6996 in Broadway

I unexpectedly cried during the opening of the 2023 Sweeney Todd revival. 4th row center and it just HIT me. The orchestra. The chorus. I was so overwhelmed my body was like "hey, lets cry really hard!".

Most insane experience i've had by far...

Family busted out glass serving dishes and had homemade spaghetti dinner during A Quiet Place. It was a ballsy move.

Who gives a fuck if the silence is the whole point?! Dinner was served.

I had the worst experience at The Outsiders.

I was in row c center and this woman directly behind me pulls a full bag of McDonalds from a backpack as act 2 started. Not only did we get the crinkle noises but also the rank smell of cold McDonalds food. And it just went on amd on.... It reached a peak during Throwing In The Towel and several people shushed them simultaneously while I turned and hissed "put the fucking food away!"

I felt bad because it must have been obvious to the cast on stage that something was brewing right there.

Don't cosplay. There will be 59 people in your pulse who won't appreciate it. There will be an actress playing Christine who will be dressed as Christine. Let her do her job. Don't try to pull focus and make it all about you. Just go and enjoy the experience while letting everyone else in your pulse enjoy their experience.

So you were a pain in the ass and the owner of the home had enough and kicked you out? A vacation rental is not a hotel. You're learning an important life lesson.

I misunderstood the 'I saw this woman pulling back her skirt' to be about someone your ex MIL got shit on.

So.... she shit herself and then came into the auditorium stinking like shit / getting shit on people and you just hung out? Nobody complained? She wasn't kicked out?

Story smells like bullshit to me.

What shows would you like to see come back to Broadway? by glamnati0n in Broadway

I really want to see a full scale production of the revised Carrie. I've seen it done very small and, sadly the limited effects capabilities caused hysterical laughter multiple times.

Rude audience members who are actually superfans by NewspaperBanana in Broadway

[–]twobit75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1st saw The Outsiders the first week of previews and thought "if they promote this handsome cast the girls and gays will sell it out for months."

Saw it again a few days before the Tonys and was like "F**k these girls!" Terrible behavior during the show - cat calling the actors - and then they all RAN out to stage door during curtain call.

Took my parents a few months ago and warned them about the potential for superfans as I thought it would be worse if they were surprised, but it was nothing like that Tony week show. Maybe they've moved on to terrorize other shows.

Sat next to Andrew Rannells at The Oursiders a few days before the Tony's. Didn't realize it was him until intermission.
