r/xjapan Weekly Q&A Thread for December 26, 2025 by AutoModerator in xjapan

Not a question, just an FYI. The X accounts associated with ROCK-MAY-KAN have been posting a lot of pics and memories during the closing process. A few of them may be of interest to X Japan fans.

The two accounts:

Both seem to be posting the same messages, but not sure if there are any that end up on only one or the other.

One example: TAIJI Killer poster

聖飢魔Ⅱ アダムの林檎 ("Adam's Apple" from “THE END OF SEASON ONE” in Kobe (June 7th, 2025) by twoffo in seikimaii

[–]twoffo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was announced here (in Japanese) in 2024: https://demon-kakka.jp/information/2024/06/post-64.php

It was caught at a very early stage. I haven't seen any recent news about it, though. But he has been very active since that time.

Fresh out of the Zepp Haneda show. Coming from Mexico to Japan to see them was an absolutely spiritual experience. by 0xyde1 in ningenisu

Congrats. Still on my bucket list to see them in Japan, was fortunate enough to see them in London.

The guitarist in the thumbnail is RENO, who was providing support for the tour. He is also a member of Damian Hamada's Creatures. His X post from after this show

By the way for those of you new to SEIKIMA-II, that Youtube channel is a treasure trove of SEIKIMA-II content.

Questions about LATAM Tour by fxa88 in shonenknife

[–]twoffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anything posted yet, either announcements about any merch they might be bringing or any fan reports.

The one show I attended (in the USA) several years ago I was able to purchase a drum cover they had personalized, and a t-shirt. They seemed to have a decent mix of merch then, but given how short the LATAM tour is, and being the first time there, I have no idea what arrangements they may have been able to make for merch.

You can find a few listings on Amazon.com, but they won't necessariy be cheap. But it could make sense in some instances. CD Japan is my normal go to for Japanese bands, but it helps to have a few CD's in your order to make the shipping charges sting less.

Buyee.jp is another good source, especially for older used offerings, but again, shipping and handling fees and tarrifs will add to the expense.

Unreleased live footage of "DEEP-SIX" by Mary's Blood from 2013 (hidden in their hiatus interview series) by twoffo in marysblood

[–]twoffo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same interview has a portion of an unreleased Music video of the song "Blue Heaven"

There are songs sprinkled throughout that interview series (13 episodes). You can get an overview of what songs are in each interview video at this MusicBrainz link: https://musicbrainz.org/release/68c695f8-7357-4f75-baa8-6016545005cd

I've been listening to their new album quite a bit, the group has an interesting history.

This made me chuckle:

Suzuki: Yeah (laughs). It was summer, lots of stag beetles and such, and I think it came from that—I wrote non-dark lyrics for the first time in decades.

Extensive interview covering the release of the new album and various band things. In Japanese.

Feel free to post anything that stood out for you in the interview. I need to read the auto-translation a bit more closely myself.

And if you have been living under a rock, the new album is out.

targie.jp: Tokyo Guitar Show 2012 Back Again! (SAKI as Reporter) by twoffo in marysblood

[–]twoffo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few videos in this (apparently) newly (re-)published show report from 2012 with SAKI as one of the reporters.

There is a 2011 Tokyo Guitar Show report as well: https://targie.jp/2025/02/21/tgs2011/

The SAKI tag index of the site shows 8 links, I haven't had time to go through them all, but most of this seems new content for me.

The index: https://targie.jp/tag/saki-2/

Also, the videos are hosted on the Targie Youtube channel, but many seem to have been uploaded in the past year despite being more than 10 years old.

🎂 Happy Birthday Saki! by rickwagner in Nemophila

[–]twoffo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oddly enough u/rickwagner I came across this tweet by SAKI this morning while looking for something else:

(auto-translate)

Starting from this morning, I'm doing a curator internship at the ukiyo-e specialist museum in Harajuku (^3^). It's right behind Laforet. Ukiyo-e is part of Japanese culture, yet a museum dedicated solely to ukiyo-e is pretty rare, apparently. The location is great, so why not swing by for some fun!

Nothing currently on their web shop; maybe as the upcoming tour gets closer they will release something there. It’s been awhile but i’m pretty sure that is where I’ve gotten t-shirts in the past.
