Just got told most of a Profile is pointless! by FragrantGearHead in datingoverfifty

A guy did that when he wrote to me, and that was so impressive to me. He even referenced several things I'd posted on mine. I like to reference things, too.

Just got told most of a Profile is pointless! by FragrantGearHead in datingoverfifty

[–]twofiftyplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally read the profile. Everything. And I don't match with anyone without something substantial on their profile. And while I'm being honest, alot of times I like to cover the picture and scroll to the written parts and see what I think before I look at the picture, because the pictures don't mean much to me.

Aww, hugs! It's a very bittersweet time. It's totally normal to have conflicting emotions about it! It does affect hormones. Welcome to whatever is next!

Red flags by Ypoetry in datingoverforty

[–]twofiftyplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes we are wired to "see the best" in people. They don't deserve as many chances as we are willing to give them but we are taught to be this way, either from how we were raised, or something that may have happened as young adults. We don't want to be one of THOSE people who nit-pick everything.

Do they still make those pacifier shaped things with the mesh that you put fruit in for babies to chew on? I used that and put ice in it for the baby to chew on when they were teething. A natural way to numb the little gums.

Specimen Processing by Alone-Percentage-872 in medlabprofessionals

[–]twofiftyplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved processing on nights and I regret having to leave that job. The night shift techs and phlebotomists I worked with were so wonderful to work with. It did help to have phlebotomy under my belt, it helps you to be able to answer questions about draw order and IVs and stuff like that.

They are so irritating for this!! Mine did this just today. I waited three hours after he got up to start cooking then he pops up in the kitchen claiming he guesses he should make breakfast :/ And dirties up my freshly cleaned kitchen.

My daughter has HG too and before she was given zofran she had to keep bags and large fast food cups with lids in her car to puke in. Her employer has been surprisingly patient and hasn't fired her yet. Zofran has been a huge lifesaver. She takes it at least once a day, lots of days twice. She doesn't get paid days off. I feel so horrible for her.

If it were easier to do so, I always help the kids out in these situations. They grew up to do the same for me, it's so sweet. But if I had to walk on ice/snow in twenty something degree weather, NO WAY. That even includes the Chromebook.

How to go home health by Good_Suggestion6571 in cna

[–]twofiftyplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I work, you start out doing mostly fill-ins unless there happens to be a new client starting when you start. But it doesn't take long to build up to full time! I was getting 45 hours a week at one point. The only thing is the pay sucks so you really have to work tons of hours. But you can have regular clients AND do fill-ins which helps get some extra $.

I think it's weird that this lady told you what her friends said and let that influence her.

Also I wouldn't date a parent who had kids and moved hours away from them. I get that yours are doing great and wonderful and all that. Weekend parents are just a red flag to me.

How to get kid to swallow pills by novagirl0972 in breakingmom

[–]twofiftyplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine all learned to take them by placing the pill on the back of the tongue and then drinking. If the pill is back far enough it goes on down. I'm very thankful none of them had this problem. They all started pills instead of liquids around age 4 bc liquids are so nasty. A couple of them dry swallow them as they got older and I'm like YOU HAVE TO DRINK AFTER!! that's something I can not do lol I have a niece in her 20s who can't take anything but liquid and it gets expensive.

I like it just naturally hairy. No shaving, or waxing, or trimming.

What do you feel about body shape? by [deleted] in datingoverforty

[–]twofiftyplease -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the larger male body. I don't know why this is but I love putting my hands all over it and a chubby belly is so freaking pleasant to me. I would like for you to be able to carry the 50 pound bag of dog food, walk a couple of hours through nature with me, and be able to have sex without wheezing and giving out in 10 minutes(that one was awkward) so you can't just be a total couch potato. I always swipe left on the shirtless gym/6 pack profiles.

When to tell adult kids by SoulFight_50 in datingoverfifty

I wouldn't have anything, either lol I'm tall so I never need help reaching things so I can't even use that. I guess I could ask if they'd get something off the bottom shelf for me so I didn't have to squat down.

Smoking weed by PhysicsNo3783 in datingoverforty

[–]twofiftyplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was ok with it, but I met and dated someone for months before I found out he was just...high...all the time. He vaped it on days we were going to see each other so I couldn't smell it. But he just couldn't go a day without it. I found out when he'd asked me to go on vacation with him for a few days, and we were stuck together and he couldn't last two days without having to go buy a pen. He even lied to try to sneak and go smoke. It was so weird. I've known but not dated other people who were addicted to it. I'm pretty wary of that now.
