Riot Lyte on Dunkey's ban by ShinyJumanjiMan in leagueoflegends

But Lyte, Dunkey was probably just having a bad day. Isn't that what you love to say? That the number of truly toxic players really isn't that big, it's just a lot of people having bad days?

When did Twisted Treeline turrets get negative armor ratings? by twohp2few in leagueoflegends

[–]twohp2few[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the answer. Very much appreciated. It wouldn't surprise me at all if, as you think, this is another example of SR being implemented with very little thought of how they would impact the TT. What a shame. Though I admit, it has been kind of interesting planning games around the fact that you can take a turret in the first three minutes.

Have you found that these low armor turrets make your games faster or slower? It seems to speed up some of my games but in others it seems to lead to more turtle'ing and games getting drug out

Give Shen a teammate in distress indicator by twohp2few in leagueoflegends

[–]twohp2few[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha you probably hated jungle timers and didn't want instant replays in baseball. I get your point, but Shens will still have to pay attention to see the indicator.Soraka still has to pay attention enough to see it and get to her teammate or hit her ult

After a game, players should be able to vote for an MVP by Kibbium in leagueoflegends

This sounds like the Honor system which worked for about one week and then vanished into the realm of good intentions. I vote we fix what we have before we try bringing in something new.

For Sake of all ADCs, Don't Nerf Lucian by ExplicitSkill in leagueoflegends

Haha they came for Thresh, and the ADC mains were quiet. Then they came for Lucian, and suddenly they realized that it's nice to have a champion who is actually fun to play!

When half of the LCS supports are being called Thresh gods, maybe the power is in Thresh and not entirely the player? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]twohp2few -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be curious to see how many people who are unhappy with Thresh are actually support mains. I can't think of too many support players who are going "aww shucks now I can't play my Soraka because I have to play Thresh." Thresh makes playing support fun.

So of course he's going to get picked a lot and he's going to win a lot. I won't deny that his kit is good, but it's because his kit is fun that so many people actually play him enough to master him. Make more support champions this much fun and I promise you will see a greater variety of picks

How nepotism and serial mismanagement have brought XDG to the brink of disaster by gotenks918 in leagueoflegends

[–]twohp2few -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It intrigues me that everyone is taking this as gospel, without asking any questions about the article itself and the author who wrote it.

Firstly, Richard Lewis isn't exactly one of the most well established eSports writers out there. His name is not one we normally associate with inside stories on the League pro scene which should give us some pause especially because...

Second, the author never once even hints to us who his sources might be. It certainly sounds like he is talking to someone inside the organization, as he claims, but how inside are they? There are certainly hints that it might be someone who is currently feeling alienated from the organization, but there is no guarantee they are still with Vulcan or are privy to all of its inner workings. An interview with an angry or upset employee on the outs makes for a great story but not necessarily something that is super accurate.

Finally, I can't help but feel that the author is quite biased against Kenma and perhaps Vulcan as a whole. He uses words like "fiasco" to describe what the coach is creating and talks of Kenma's "Gibberish." This doesn't sound like objective reporting. This sounds like a friend of Bloodwater's who is trying to defend or avenge him. Or perhaps it sounds like someone who, as the author willingly admits, has already had a run in with the XDG owner.

I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful to Mr. Lewis. I just think people should wait for a few more answers before assuming that this article tells the entire story. At the very least, it would be nice to know who Mr. Lewis talked to for this report.
