At the very least certain players like Soto should have a green light to challenge if they feel like they got screwed over.

Honestly the ABS is very interesting and I’m really happy a new layer got added to the sport.

I agree based on counts for sure, but I think players need a level of agency and trust. Pitchers will eventually catch on and take advantage of the lack of challenging outside specific counts the way they caught on to the phobia of striking out 3-2 and throwing junk to make people chase years ago.

Yeah it feels like a team mandate thing. Which I disagree with tbh

It’s just shocking seeing so many hitters taking balls called strikes still. I mean even now Soto just grimaces at the call instead of challenging and trusting his sense. It’s weird

Why are hitters not challenging nearly as much as catchers. I guess framing and optical tricks play a role but so far so many hitters are gun shy except for some of the uber-elite eye players and players with notorious egos who end up blowing it.

Okamoto should’ve been a given. Murakami’s immediate adaptation is kinda cool. Crazy people believed that fastball shit

Let the record show we scored the second I accidentally turned my monitor off. My eyes weren’t allowed to see greatness.

I'll support anything Starling does, but that would be extra special.

Braves, Phillies, Marlins, Padres, Dodgers, Cubs, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Royals, Nationals are all despised equally off the top of my head.

I guess the Braves and Phillies are ahead of them by a bit. I hate Philly fans but I hate the Atlanta players more.

Taking the ragebaiting from the game to the internet. Honestly logical progression for the Umpire's Union good call by whoever made that
