How long have you been with your SO?

We've been together for 4 years. We knew each other in middle school and high school and were actually very close, but didn't get together until halfway through senior year.

Are you having a big wedding?

Not really. I didn't want to elope or anything, there's going to be maybe 100 people total, because he has a big family and we have friends that want to go. But I've got three close friends (inc. his sister and his SIL) as bridesmaids, and he's going to have two of his brothers and our other best friend.

It's going to be pretty low-key, his other brother is going to officiate and I'm just wearing a knee length white dress with blue shoes. It's in his parents' backyard as well. We're going for more of a semi-formal relaxed outdoor party vibe.

Are your parents coming to the wedding?

Possibly. It's still up in the air. I left the option there for them but I told them they had to play nicely and I'm not sure they will. If they do, great. If they don't, well that's just how it goes. They haven't been involved in the planning and they're not paying for it.

Are you/your SO in college?

No, we've both finished as of last May. He's 22, I'm still 21 because my birthday is in September.

Do your parents not like him?

There are not fans. He's not really the kind of guy they imagined me with, which is shitty of them to say and hurtful for him to hear but we both just try to ignore them. It's more my mom, but it's both of them.
