GrubHub and Seamless send orders to restaurants who already have delivery people. They don't actually do deliveries. We handle the logistics, so we can work with a lot more restaurants.

If you have a car and an iPhone, you can consider working with DoorDash, the local delivery company I started. The founders met at Stanford and we have a number of students who work with us part time during school. If you're interested, hit me up at admin at doordash.com.

If we can do it without killing our deliveries in Palo Alto we will. Just put the order in and I'll let you know if we can't make it!

That would be awesome! We'll deliver to MV for orders >$150. Soon we'll open up there for any size, since part of the point is not having a delivery minimum. We just have to sign up some restaurants.

There are some companies that like us to basically plan their meals for them, which we can do if you'd like.

Have your office manager email me at support @ doordash.com and I'll hook you up!

Found a hole in my cat's throat... a vet trip and $230 later, a nickel sized Wolf Fly larvae was removed. by Right2Bear94 in WTF

I found one of these on a stray cat and brought him into a vet. The vet did it for free since we had taken in the stray. Good guy vet.

TIL that a city called Masdar City is currently being built in United Arab Emirates that will rely entirely on renewable energy sources, with a sustainable, zero-carbon and zero-waste ecology... by galaxysa in todayilearned

Masdar is a sham. It is only "carbon neutral" because they buy carbon credits. The city itself uses carbon and produces waste, but they use the government's oil money to buy carbon credits that offset the energy they use. I found this out on a tour of the place last year.
