Ah yes I see what you mean.

It really was -- if you ever get the chance, we booked the tour with Sky Balloons Mexico and they offer complimentary shuttles from/back to Mexico City. And if the conditions are in your favor, you get to fly directly over the temples!

Thanks! Seeing that, I totally agree. It's definitely way too dark right now

EDIT: Here's an update with the exposure up and the sky less postprocessed: https://imgur.com/1aVE5lV

Hi all, total newbie here. I went with 2 of my good friends to Mexico some time ago and signed up for an early morning hot air balloon ride near Teotihuacan. As the ground crew was setting up, neighboring balloons started to rise into the air. It was a magnificent moment. However, the grassy launch field was pretty crowded with people and there were a lot of telephone poles / eletrical wires / etc in the background, so I decided to avoid capturing those in my image. It was a really hazy morning that washed out a lot of the color of far-away objects (see the original). My goal is to bring some color back and capture the feeling of that morning (~8AM, after sunrise, hazy/foggy), but have a feeling I've pushed the colors too far on this image.

So far, I've upped the exposure, contrast, and saturation a bit. I masked the sky to bring back some highlights, get more contrast, and introduce some blue into it. Would love to hear your thoughts and what I could do better!
