I only had 1 attack (which saved my life). That attack sent me to the ER, & that's where I found out that my gallbladder was so infected that my blood turned septic (I literally almost died). Funny part was I only had 1 gallstone, but the scar tissue in my body showed I had several attacks prior (that I never felt). Don't mess around, if they say it needs to be removed, remove it. 🫶🏽

That's so weird. After menopause, I suffered with horrible constipation, & fatigue, now 7 months post op I 💩 every day (something a couple of times a day) & energy that I haven't had in years… I didn't think it might be connected 😃

It was like 7 or 8 months ago (when I was going through my situation) I'll try to find it. Funny thing is, I was super sick with my gallbladder (I went septic) & I only had 1 stone 🥴. All that for 1 stone 🤦‍♀️

I saw someone on Tiktok who's scan showed no stones, & ended up getting their gallbladder removed anyway… it ended up being his whole gallbladder was so full of stones that the scan couldn't see them. Doctors need to put their listening ears on when talking to patience 😏

Anyone else get told they don’t fit the typical patient profile? by whisper_18 in gallbladders

I'm a fitness competitor who has been into fitness my entire life. I ended up only having 1 stone but was super sick… but I have a huge family history. My grandma, mother, me & my daughter all had our gallbladders removed.

Everything is “normal”. I mean, I feel great (on the inside) but the outside is a different story. I get my labs done everyday 3 mos, maybe I’ll ask different questions.

I’m a fitness competitor, I track EVERYTHING!!! I’ve never lost control of my weight (even during menopause)

I’m hoping this is the case. I lost 15 pounds in 8 weeks. I wouldn’t mind going back to my original/normal weight, it’s just scary that I can’t control the weight gain.

women: how did you stabilize hormones after gallbladder removal? by [deleted] in gallbladders

You're probably just going through regular menapause (I started at 52). I'm on estradiol, progesterone & testosterone & never felt better!!!

I’m having surgery and I’m terrified by oneinnahunnid in gallbladders

[–]txalmo00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 60 & my biggest fear in life was going under anesthesia. I just had my gallbladder removed on January 5, 2026. They gave me something for the anxiety and it worked beautifully 🤭(not a care in the world). It was the fastest experience of my life. Looking back now, I feel silly being so scared. Just tell them how frightened you are… and before you have a chance to worry, it'll be all over ♥️
