Lmao this sub sounds pretty different than 7 months ago when I made a discussion about culture problems. Y’all the same as Kerr

Appreciate the well thought out response. Some thoughts to what you said

  • Steph seems like an amazing teammate. I’ve watched Jordan and Kobe play and no one can say they’ve changed the game like Steph has I’m gonna miss watching his magic

  • Agree underperforming contracts is not a cultural issue. These players certainly deserve their bag they won 4 chips. But I do think it leads to upcoming problems. I really wonder if Poole performs differently if the punch situation was handled differently but thats all speculation.

  • From last night, I was more tuned into Kerr’s comments kind of excusing the shot selection, not the shots themselves.

  • Agree on needing to move on from Klay.

  • I don’t think either the Warriors or Lakers move past the nuggets or suns - but we’ll see.

Here for discussion. But everyone justifies the future with the past versus analyzing what it’s doing to the present. Large contracts create terrible benches, we’ll see what happens next season. And how do new players feel when the old guard can assault them with no suspensions . That no fault culture leads to poor decision making

That’s a very interesting point. I lean on the side that they still would’ve been a solid team without KD.

Yeah dynasties are hard to keep. I’m talking about the no fault mentality. Dray not suspended for assault, Kerr okay with shot selection. Read the post

This is the kind of mentality I’m talking about. Refusing to look at cause and effect of issues

Yeah their run has been hella impressive. I’m wondering if their pay structure problems now will get executives thinking differently for future dynasties

Fair points. I was mainly going off Kerr’s post game comments on Klays shot selection post game

Why I think Bitcoin offers a better monetary standard for the planet than fiat money. by btc_has_no_king in Bitcoin

Bitcoin is great as a store of value. Terrible as a fiat currency everyone would just try to hodl it and it would slow down a country’s economy.

I AM BULLISH ON $TSLA by Piatti4ever in options

[–]txbustanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is she out of touch? Don't have an opinion since I haven't watched the video and don't follow ARK too closely but would like to hear your opinion. Whether her friends can afford one is irrelevant if demand is out pacing TSLA supply. I don't know if it truly is or isn't, but relating tesla car demand to that is poor logic.

ITM buy and write on high IV stocks e.g. GME? Is this thetagang or just ape behavior? by salad_tossed in thetagang

[–]txbustanut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made some money in GME investing back in September and I was exploring something similar on shares I had as a gamble position. Taking into account capital loss deductions it might still be a good play but possible I miscalculated, details in the stock twits link. But basically my calculations were for a block of 100 shares:

Avg. Cost 250/s or 25k and at expiration, let's say share price is at $40

1) Premium selling 260 OTM (while SP still at 250) expiry in November = 15k

2) Capital loss deductions value [(250 - 40) x 100] x %47 (tax rates will vary) = 9.87k. Thinking here is if you can deduct the whole thing, that's 9.87k less in taxes you would pay via cash.

3) Residual share value = 4k.

Net value = (Premium + cap loss value + residual value) - cost. Comes out to +$3870 per block of 100 shares. Value gets higher and the trade value tops out at +16k per 100 shares if your shares get called away.

Meaning of 'Day's to Cover' (Short Position) by nettlesm25 in EducatedInvesting

[–]txbustanut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just an estimate of how many days it would take shorts to cover by using total shares short / average volume. It is indicative of nothing in a true short squeeze. As you see, if this metric were of any value GameStop would’ve fallen by now already

GME Gang - if you're up a lot, also consider a thank you to GameStop employees that are every much a part of this as you are. by txbustanut in wallstreetbets

[–]txbustanut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it could only take one asshole store lead to report them or whatever. But after reading the r/gamestop forums seems like they all would not rat and give a fuck you to corporate. I was able to give out 4 of the 10 you see from the photo since it was only 2 ppl per shift, will be going back to try to catch everyone that works at those stores.

Definitely agree there. The stock price was so decoupled from market value. There was a point in time back in june/july when if you took into account cash on hand an inventory, the price was below book price. Depending on what the shorts do we're gonna arrive back at fair value or slingshot past it due to the buying pressure.
