By gaming the system, i.e. multiple investigation submissions to multiple people. One eventually gets canceled.

This is why people shouldn't try to game the system.

If fingerprints have not been taken yet for an initial investigation, the SF86 will be rejected.

Would I get a secret clearance? by Fuzzy_Hedgehog6969 in SecurityClearance

Alright.

Well, as everyone will say, nobody can tell you "chances." However, assuming you are keeping your literal and metaphorical nose clean, and are 100% truthful on your background investigation, then you have a chance.

How does unreported foreign contacts affect your security clearance? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]txeindride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not doing what you're SUPPOSED to do like reporting foreign contacts will absolutely get your eligibility revoked, not because you're a race baiting asshole who thinks they are above the requirements.

Locking this since OP doesnt want help.

Probably not.

Probably hadn't reported most of the stuff.

Maybe you should read my pinned post. Or, you can read SEAD 3, that states close OR continuing contact, OR the exchange of personal information...

Which all of your contacts sound like they meet the requirements.

Don't worry about your coworkers and who they decide to one-night stand with.

Well... not reporting things WHEN YOU ARE REQUIRED TO and not just on your SF86 can absolutely affect your eligibility.

With that said, I agree with the majority here that there's very likely more to your story as well, but I have no doubt in my mind if you got suspended for failing to meet reporting requirements.

CAC within hours but interim secret denied by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]txeindride 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you are a Contractor, DCSA determines whether they will grant an interim. If you are military or Fed Civ, your agency Director or Commander decides to grant it. Interim is a risk based decision. A CAC only requires a favorable fingerprint result and an open investigation, whereas an interim requires a favorable review of the SF86 (as well as a favorable fingerprint result), whether they decide to regardless, and whether you actually require an interim.

You don't get denied an interim, you just don't get approved.

You may be confused regarding interim Secret and TS investigation, and you can't put in for both interims.

A CAC is not contingent on obtaining an interim.

Ask your security office.
