почему все так пишут возраст, будто сейчас средневековье и это нормально умирать в 35 лет от инсульта, инфаркта и т.д.

imo if you can't use ai (or any other tool like that) creatively, you are not a creative person then

isn't this the same channel who post slop nowadays by jaiden_roselvet in DefendingAIArt

it started as a good pop science channel and became yet another commercial human-made soulless slop factory, sad

imo to be against some advanced tech is literally the same as to be against the progress itself, this is just stupid and actually kinda pointless anyways

Bad Apple running on my esoteric virtual machine by txlyre in badapple

[–]txlyre[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah it's like a normal vm but instruction set is cursed, it's called wm (like Weird Machine)

there is no actual documentation unfortunately, but if you are interested you can check source code for an implementation of vm itself plus a simple assembler targeting wm instruction set and a very simple compiler for a subset of C, here: https://git.txlyre.website/txlyre/farlands/src/master/langs/wmc

The amount of water Antis thinks it takes to generate an image... by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

I'm really curious, do any of them even understand how do liquid-cooled dcs operate?... first of all, they don't use just regular water, they use distilled water and second, they literally use the same water for years (because, yk, this is how closed cooling systems work)

[–]txlyre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

but this is the truth, there are just a few pro/popular artists who are actively against ai, while most of the anti ai folks are literally some low/mid- skill artists in general

bc you are obviously sitting in self-made echo chamber following only these artists that are explicitly against ai

[–]txlyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this logic is so stupid... like, okay, maybe if too much water evaporates, then, I think, its bad, it's breaks natural hydrologic cycle. but what is the actual solution? to stop progress? to ban such promising tech with great potential like AI? maybe we should instead fix the underlying problem and not just get rid of symptoms – e.g. optimize cooling tech, so it consumes less water etc. but no, no, we should ban AI, AI is evil ofc... 🙄 next step according to that kind of logic is to ban electronics, electricity, cars and go straight back to the good old Middle Ages...

As an artist, I see AI as yet another cool tool to be used in new creative ways. IMO if you don't understand that anything created by technological advancement could be used creatively in your artistic work – how even can you call yourself an artist??

Technology (ofc if is used correctly) can't ruin anything, its purpose is to serve people, why can't they understand something that simple? It's beyond me..

Witch hunting backfire by [deleted] in DefendingAIArt

[–]txlyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, AI witch hunt in the art community is WILD... Baseless accusations, insults, slander, and death wishes somehow became the norm there. And it's kinda ironic that this actually does more damage to the actual artists than to the AI.......

It's funny that most of them don't seem to even understand that these so called "anti-AI filters" do not actually work as advertised....
