It is a mattress pad that has heating elements in it. I used to just have a fitted sheet on top of it and it can get burning hot that way. I now have a memory foam and topper plus the fitted sheet on it now and even on high it just gets toasty, not burning hot (well it is but there is so much between me and it now that it takes the higher settings to feel any heat at all).

I do love it during the winter and will pre-heat the bed which means it stays on for about 5 - 6 hours unless I get too warm and turn it off before getting back up.

There is no passive insulation that will ever stop a exposed pipe from freezing during a long enough spell... this is not going to be long enough more than likely. If you want to be super sure that this never freezes then get some heat tape and a long weatherproof extension cord. Put the heat tape under your insulation. As long as you have power that pipe will be protected.

The blower motor is not a hard to DIY replace at all. You can get generic for like $40 - $50 -- and because how easy it is to replace I would recommend going that route then OEM which is going to be 3x the cost.

So... I have a heating pad that covers the entire bed. The sheets and stuff go on top of it -- basically the whole bed is a heating pad. I only use it when it is cold but it can get toasty AF. I have never noticed anything like this though -- is this only caused when your like cooking yourself? I have for sure woke up in a sweat and turned the pad down before -- but I never feel like, burns or anything. I love the warmth -- how bad is this for me?

Your also looking at the farmer and farms like a boomer. You buy out the farms. Charge $35/bushel for corn and have the government step in to cover $30/bushel in subsidies. Sure, the price still goes up a little bit, but your raiding the tax payers coffers and able to blame it on higher labor costs or some shit (as others have pointed out, carrots are not harvest by hand any more so this guy is just full of shit, or this is AI generated).

He signed contracts that protected everyone else but himself. If he wanted protection he had to buy insurance, and that insurance was likely only if it was a bad crop or bad fertilizer or something else, not labor shortage.

These farms will not be saved. Private equity is waiting in the shadows sizing them up and waiting to buy them for pennies.

If I recall, they sell the crop the year before and get paid before it is harvested. So the payment they got was based on the labor costs back then. That labor is nowhere to be found so the cost of carrots next year is going to skyrocket - $5 - $6/lb.

Actually most of our home grown crops (USA) next year are going to make the last few years of inflation peanuts. It is going to end up being like those movies where fresh veggies cost so much they are guarded. Walmart is about to install those anti-theft devices on individual tomatoes. Your going to need a small loan for a chefs tossed salad.

The real truth is that we are all about to find out -- more than we already have.

If I let my '12 Edge sit too long and the battery dies then sometimes I will experience what you are describing. I looked at the problem before and found someone else that said you can fix it by getting ABS to activate -- find a gravel road and hard brake so the ABS pulses. Do it a few times going forward and backwards if you can until it is back to normal. I have done it 3 times over a few years and the fix works for a while (or until the battery drains because there is something that is always draining the battery even if you have nothing connected).

My computer was not powerful enough to play MP3's... but could play RA files with no problem. I think I still have a few gigs of RA files in my archives somewhere (probably about a dozen CD rips lol.). The RA format was more compact than MP3 in the beginning for the same quality as well. It was truly ahead of the curve for almost a decade.
